It's not lost on me how this fanbase saw that the new character got slightly(barely!) wider jaws than the existing LIs and is more buffy and started claiming he is tan, hypermasculine, violent and should only be released on the african server. They saw a LI who's a bit different and immediately stereotyped him as this antiblack caricature.

In reality, Valko is fairer than Sylus and is just a bit more muscular than him. He's a goofy nerd who's super affectionate from the get-go.

Given this game's track record, a tan LI was not going to happen. They would actually have to fix their lighting issues and create more shades of dark skin to accommodate this hypothetical tan LI which they won't! That should be enough reassurance for these racist players but they can't go a day without demeaning black and brown players and calling them slurs!
