Haha fingerprint art?? Fingerprint art. I love slapping paper continuously to color.

Seriously tho, used crayola markers to color. I haven’t done fingerprint portraits in awhile- or traditional art in general, so I’m glad to have done it!

Yep, more insect photos, I know this is an art blog but I just gotta— I guess this is an art/photography blog now since my fanart side has been slow (I still work on my comic though!).

I’ve been leaving the lights on at night for three days now and waking up early to see what shows up and to take photos (I have a professional camera and I’m trying to learn how to use it)- and I’ve met a lot of cool insects!!

This morning I had success with picking up two cicadas that came by— they were very gentle and calm. Didn’t like it when our neighbors got loud, though. One of them flew off. I don’t like our neighbors either though so I don’t blame em, lol

Insects make me feel at peace when I hold them or am around them like this. Always have since I was a child— I honestly view them as friends. Even if you yourself might find them gross or unappealing, I hope you can at least appreciate and respect them from a distance— they’re quite beautiful animals when you get to know them.

Yeah so I’ve been raising the offspring of my polyphemus moths and I love them

Their frass smells exactly like lawn clippings so they’re not unpleasant at all really and honestly I love these funky dudes
