the biggest reason why ya novels should have more trans mcs cause it makes way more sense why in the love triagels two very powerful immortals would suddely want a human girl. like a cis girl who hardly has any issues is not worth the attention of powerful fey or other powerful beings. but a trans woman who has to fight for people just to respect her name, and the fact her very existace is being voted out of existacnce would cause a deity to have intrest in her, it would also make the mcs kindness and love make way more sense and come from a place where the diety wouldent laugh at this teenage girl for beig like ‘you deserve to live’ it wouldent come from naivity, it would come from actual hope.

The iron fey really gives the same vibes are twilight-- mid writing but absolutely banging setting/world building and characters that worm their way into your brain despite your best efforts to not care

the crazy thing about this is that this take is actually insanely accurate to how i feel about the series. i just wish so bad that the writing was better but 🤷 cant get everything you want ig!!
