First, let me introduce you to some of our more prominent characters.
Dr. Ava is the most important person in this building. She’s the head scientist, and runs everything within these walls. Some of her most successful experiments are actually those that she performed on herself!
Specimen Number SM-13, also known as Simon or the Butcher, is our most important ongoing experiment. He was once a criminal, outcast by our lab by causing a catastrophic accident at our previous building. But Dr. Ava decided to give him another chance. She offered him a deal, “let the lab use you as a specimen, and one day gain your freedom.” As you can tell, he took this deal, and now we believe that he’s the closest specimen we have to our goal…
Dr. Archie, or as most people call him, Dr. Ace, is the main scientist assigned to the Butcher. He, once an experiment himself, has been in this lab since he was but a child! His emotional understanding of the building and the specimens within really pays off in his work.
And that’s everyone you need to worry abo- oh? Oh…

Specimen Number SM-9, also known as Ellie. She’s… a failed experiment. We aren’t exactly sure what happened, but something went very, very wrong. The plan for her has been since abandoned and she’s now kept in a large aquarium.
The color? Oh, well… Ellie is quite a… mystery to us. She seems to exhibit many of the features of marine life, but she can’t live in only water. We’ve discovered that the only way to keep her alive is if she’s kept in blood… real, human blood.
We obviously can’t get quite that much blood, so we keep her in a mixture of many gallons of blood, and the rest water. Keeps her alive, and docile. The water has the same effect on her as a slight over concentration of gasses such as nitrogen or CO2 in the air has on us.
All of the blood was taken from willing subjects.

I've seen space stations burn to the ground... It's not pretty. I tried to stop the raid on Fillament station, but... it was too late and there were too many people. I wish you could have seen the place before it was gone... It was beautiful...
