Broadway being afraid that filming and releasing shows would result in less people going to nyc is like sports teams being afraid that no one would come to their games if they were televised (which obviously isn’t a problem). It’s like this. You go for the experience but if you can’t be there you still get to be a part of it.

Let’s talk about Karen in the musical.

Let’s talk about how she is still written as ‘dumb’ and ‘stupid’

And how that makes her absolutely hilarious and that I’m so grateful.

But let’s also talk about when Karen is the smartest person in the show.

Like when she tells Cady that everything is really two things.

Like, how she doesn’t see anything as black and white but with all the grey and all the good that comes out of it.

Let’s talk about how nice she is to Cady after she finds out that Cady tricked and manipulated her. 

Let’s talk about how Karen may be failing every single subject, but is one of the wisest and kindest people in the show.
