“I’m glad you’re still here.” Her voice is a gentle caress in the dark. 

Don’t let a good thing pass you by for the sake of everything else.

“What?’ He barks with a scoff. “That’s not a good thing for you, you know.” He can feel her turn her head to gaze up at his face. He doesn’t dare look. His resolve is already nearing rock bottom and he knows for a fact that would do him in. So he just sits there, neck craned at the ceiling against the back of the couch with his eyes closed. 

“You know what, you’re right. Should’ve been you, at least Tanya wasn’t an asshole.” Even though her tone is flat and blank, Blake knows she doesn’t mean a single word of it. That doesn’t stop him from removing his arm from her and lazily sticking his middle finger right in her face.
