Things I’d keep:

Now if *I* ever made a twilight IF I would have the Bella character be human. I would keep Edward, Jacob and the rest of them. I would keep the basic premise of new person comes to town and discovers there’s more to the world than they thought. I would keep the love triangle because I think it’s a great premise of being the two worlds that Bella has a foot in

I would keep Bella’s shield ability but likely expand it even when she’s human to make her a special type of human

Things I’d change:

1) Bella’s personality. You see she’s a bit snarky in the books, has a bit more pizzazz. Her and Edward do have a nice banter going in the first book that I really like and was sad to see it wasn’t in the movies. I would up the ante on that and have her have a more fuller life

2) eliminate Rotiserrie (the red headed demon cgi baby)

3) eliminate imprinting (ik the concept is evolutionary, it happens so the tribe can keep going but the fact that it has no age limit and that its basically akin to mental slavery is nasty)

4) make the love triangle more equal so that means Jacob doesn’t became a creepy assaulter in eclipse and Bella and Edward aren’t engaged yet

5) up Bella’s involvement in her regular high school life. Make the choice to be a vampire actually matter and hurt because she would lose her friends

6) really go into how parentified Bella is with her mother and how emotionally neglectful Charlie is

7) scrap the weird themes around sex and marriage. Edward could keep his old fashioned stance but the narrative would interrogate it instead of claiming it’s the right way to do things

8) have Bella learn how to defend herself from vampires as a human with her shield ability

9) I would keep some of Edward’s creepy traits but not romanticize them he would just become a bit of a red flag RO

10) go into more the history of vampires, werewolves and shapeshifters cause it’s interesting as hell

11) jasper is no longer a proud confederate soldier thank you

12) Jacob would keep his long hair (+ just more respect for native traditions as a whole and how that intersects with the wolves aspect)

13) kill off characters like especially in the big final fight that should’ve happened

Luce would remain spoiled tbh if I played them. I love how just fucking awful they are and unapologetic. Which is why I’m not forcing a character arc unless you take the grounded points

Crowny to me would be high worth, amoral and a high detective. I don’t like being a dumbass nor doormat play sorry haha

I find I get nervous everytime I have to come back and start writing for an mc again because I fear I won’t the voice right. Like I’m nervous for Sky because unlike Crowny or Luce, Sky has two types of personalities so it is a bit nerve-wrecking to get back into those shoes after a year since they are the most flexible mc I have but I usually find I learn how to see through their eyes again with a few tries

So that’ll be more difficult for a spoilt Luce, as Lazlo will know how to stand his ground, unlike Antonio

Oh yeah especially because Antonio never had Luce involved in the mafia before so he could spoil them and believe they were still safe

Luce doesn’t know shit about the mafia yet will want to do whatever they want and Lazlo is not gonna have that because “whatever they want” in this context could endanger Luce’s life

He’s not gonna like it and he’s not gonna do it

The thing is I know people would like for me to just allow them to do anything sexually with the ROs but that feels oddly blank… by that I mean it feels the ROs stop being characters the moment their clothes are off to appease the mc

Like although I’ve painted this boy like a simp and in many respects he is—he can put his foot down with Luce and you will see in chapter 3

No and that’s kind of the point we will never know exactly who she was except through the memories and biases of others

We will find out more about her life but not her feelings or emotions. Did she ever love Lorcan? Did she ever want to fix her relationship with Crowny? Was there ever a moment of self reflection? It’s questions that won’t be answered and I think it’s better that way

That would mean Luce’s birthday is on Christmas?

Yeah that’s why it’s an alternate universe where they’re the ottomans but not so as to avoid this scenario (and also have more historical leeway)

I will be inspired by real life ottomans and about 70% of the cultivation will be basically the ottomans but they’ll be called something different; they are mostly of my own creation cause I know how heavy this topic is for Turkish people

The thing with Sally is that he’s let himself go due to stress he was quite the looker in high school but everything has really gotten to him so I would say he’s a step down now like maybe if he took a shower, changed his clothes regularly, wasn’t so gaunt…
