One of my favourite quirks with Sandman fics is when Human AUs don't bother changing the Endless's names into something normal sounding and instead have character named "Death" and "Destruction" going about their very normal daily lives because hey, you know what, if there are actual people named fucking BLUE IVY and NORTH WEST, why not have "Dream" and "Delirium" in the wild
