apparently one of zoe’s teachers felt that they needed THERAPY. therapy ! of all things ! sure , they were abducted as a child. lowkey brainwashed and had their powers suppressed for years. skipped from foster home to foster home before being adopted by bucky barnes. got settled into their new home only for their “ mother “ to track them down and try and bring them home. mother nearly killed their adopted sister... found out years later who their biological parents are... there’s no reason why zoe would need therapy , right ? they coped by burying themselves in sports , music & art. in their mind , they coped just fine. they wouldn’t admit it but they were really conflicted about their birth parents and what they wanted out of those relationships. they ALREADY had a family in the rogers-barnes family and they were more than enough. but maybe they wanted more. wanted to know these people that they should have been grown up with.
