This is simply pathetic.
When are people gonna realize that Dottore dying is literally the only way they can make him playable? Because they need to end his villain arc somehow, since they clearly don’t wanna make fully active villains playable, lol. So ending his whole experimentation arc is pretty much the only way to make that work.
And yes, it’s absolutely possible for them to bring him back afterward. Pretty much nothing is impossible in the world of Teyvat when it has its own laws of reality + the power of HoYo’s money-hungry “anything for the banner and merchandise sales” business plan on its side.
Like… the entire game’s main motif is literally Life, Death, and Rebirth. Besides the whole moon symbolism, that’s one of the biggest recurring themes in Genshin. We already have multiple characters connected to rebirth, symbolic death, resurrection themes, reincarnation parallels, memories surviving death, people speaking to us from the afterlife, ghosts lingering around, consciousness existing separately from bodies, Irminsul rewriting existence, and so on. “Death” in Genshin rarely means straightforward permanent death. Half the time it ends up being part of some larger hidden narrative twist or setup for a future reveal.
Hat Guy literally symbolically "died" and was reborn as a different person. Capitano isn’t even 100% dead, and the story still very obviously leaves room for his return somehow. So why are people acting like Dottore dying would automatically mean permanent deletion from the story forever? 😂
And honestly, just LOOK at the amount of work HoYo has put into him compared to characters like La Signora. Dottore has:
multiple major designs
a super detailed Omega Build model that literally looks playable
asymmetrical design philosophy everywhere
intricate detailing down to the underside of his shoes 💀
multiple boss forms/design elements
one of the most elaborate Harbinger introductions in the game
an entire 4+ minute animated teaser dedicated almost entirely to him
absurd amounts of lore spread across artifacts, quests, notes, NPC dialogue, and worldbuilding
Meanwhile Signora never even got HALF that treatment.
Like… why would HoYo invest THAT much effort, money, animation work, merchandising potential, lore buildup, and design complexity into him if they didn’t intend for him to remain an extremely significant character going forward? 😭
I could honestly go on about all the reasons we basically already KNOW he’s coming back somehow, but this rant is getting insanely long already, so I’ll just end this for now, and then maybe get back to my theories/clues/proofs another time.

But it’s also above Fontaine (I think?) but it’s also neighboring to Nod-Krai. Like. Do you understand how big that land has to be then. It’s like three whole nations combined. 😭
LOOK, THIS LAND LITERALLY HAS IT ALL!! How many nations actually have more than ONE city!? Villages, sure, but actual, modern city with lots of people in it and its own government??
They have a whole academy, different palaces, cities (note it’s in plural), village[s], Fatui hideouts and fortresses—heck they even have lots of factories!!

I’m just wondering what the heck Dottore must’ve gone through in his childhood to think that relationships are transactional. The closer you get to him, the more freely he uses you.
He genuinely doesn’t even understand what he did wrong towards Columbina. The fact that Sandrone saw the falling out between those two from a miles away… That must mean that Dottore wasn’t even hiding the way he treated Columbina.
He saw her as his sister, and that’s why he treated her worse than other Harbingers—because she got so close to him.
So, how did Dottore’s own family treat him as a child? Was he used? Extorted? Abused? Manipulated?
That’s pretty much all we get about his family for now.
Because apparently they want to gatekeep all of his childhood lore and family lore for when he becomes playable.
And honestly?
Based.
Based AF.
Makes me even more excited for his arc of becoming playable.
I am eagerly awaiting all the juicy Zandik lore from his character menu’s “Profile” (with the “Story” and “Voice-Over” sections).
And maybe, just maybe, if we’re lucky, he can even get his own separate character Story Quest chapter. That is, if HoYo are gonna feel generous enough to give us more lore about him and/or make the Traveler get to know him better. Or if there’s something in Teyvat that he needs to fix or help with. But either way, it’s obvious that he’s coming back in the main story.
So either they’re gonna give us a LOT more Zandik content in the Archon Quests, OR they’re gonna give us a separate quest focused solely on him. Maybe even both—but that would maybe be hoping for too much.

Wait, so… Did Dottore actually build the Cashflow Supervision? And if so, how did it end up in Wriothesley’s hands? Or is it not actually his weapon in the lore?
I’ve read the lore description before several times, and I know very well how it’s related to Dottore and Pantalone.
But what I don’t understand is what exactly this mechanism’s purpose was/is, and literally the whole lore surrounding this machine’s very origin and whereabouts. The description seems to only go into the lore behind Credit Coupons, or am I wrong? Is the gadget ever mentioned in the description?
Did Dottore make this so they could supervise the Fortress of Meropide, hence its name? Or to spy on and monitor Wriothesley? I have so many questions…
Someone, please tell me if you know! I sadly don’t have the time to investigate further into this by myself. So if someone can provide the information they’ve learned, I’d be grateful.
