One day a girl about 14 or so comes into the northland bank and claims the regrator is her father.

Shes the spitting immage of him. Long wavy black hair, the same lips, the same violet eyes. She harbours the same unwavering confidence and determination.

Pantalone, of course, laughs at such a redicolous idea but the girl simply wont give it up so he agrees to undergo a dna test performed by the doctor.

Turns out a few days later, their dna does match. He is her father. He had had a drunken one night stand with her mother after a long boring ball and she, too scared to confront him after, had opted to keep her pregnancy a secret.

She moved to a smaller quiet town and raised her child while he quickly forgot that the whole ordeal ever happened.

Until one day, struck by a terminal illness, died. In her dieing breath she confessed the secret to her daughter who then, without a legal guardian, went to seek him out.

Unprepared for fatherhood as he was, pantalone surprisingly takes to his new role rather quickly. Before he knows it, that girl becomes his perfect little girl who will be protected at all costs. He hires a fatuus gard to watch over her when he cant be by her side. He showers her in gifts and offers her the best possible life she could ever have, trying anything to get her to call him dad just once.

... I'm not gonna lie to you all, it is REALLY hard not to read into this. For those of you who don't know, they're doing a countdown to Snezhnaya featuring the harbingers. Pulcinella got an animated short yesterday. Today, on the 9th, mind you... Pantalone got one. In Pulcinella's, hydro element was clearly visible. There's quite a bit of speculation that he'll actually be playable. And while I don't particularly like The Rooster, it is getting harder to deny playability when Hoyo releases shorts with clearly visible element play.

Pantalone looks suspiciously like he's toying with electro. I've also seen some players speculate a pyro element here, but besides the bullet turning into the flaming skull or whatever you want to call it, I really don't get any pyro vibes at all personally. I think the flame looking effects are more likely supposed to represent souls of the damned or trapped souls? Pantalone is turning out to be eldritch horror... 😳

That being said:

Is Pantalone Playable Yet?

The answer is now a good MAYBE.
