it's frustrating to me how harry completely violating snape's privacy and his trust is never addressed after 'snape's worst memory'. everytime snape used the pensieve, he took out his memories right in front of harry. he never hid it. and when he left the room, you know he never thought harry would look inside it when he left, because if he did, he would have hid it away. it doesn't take a lot for snape to think the worst of harry, but even he didn't think harry would do that. and we damn sure don't get any acknowledgement from sirius or lupin realising that snape has a very valid reason not to continue teaching him even if it was vital. as far as im concerned, there's a reason harry never tells ron or hermione, mainly hermione and it's not because snape swore him not too, and not even just because of him not wanting them to think less of his father. it's because he would have been chastisted to kingdom come because his misery at the truth is 100% his fault. didn't like what you saw? shouldn't have stuck your head in there in the first place.
100%. Hermione would have told him in exacting detail what he did wrong.
What's Harry gonna say, without resorting to lying? "I was really mad when he covered for our occlumency lessons by calling them remedial potions, and felt entitled to know what Snape didn't want to share with me, and thought I'd have enough time to snoop, what with him going to assist an injured student."
