Q&A with Dan and Phil

Life has been busy again but many good changes. I got married!! Highly considering a job change and we are talking about moving next year! So happy!!

The difference between Dan and Phil’s acceptance with being gay really shows how an environment can make you or break you. Phil has, for the most part, been out for years. His parents were okay with it, he had supportive friends, and when it came to announcing it to us, there was no hesitation. I have a feeling that, if not for Dan, Phil wouldn’t have waited this long to come out.

what i love the most about phil’s vid is that it represents a queer narrative that is so common in experience but still so uncommon in media. a narrative about someone who knew they were gay from a young age, without question. who was closeted, but not in a significantly traumatic way. who was outed against their will, but took control of the situation.
