i post about this like annually but it really was astounding how skyrims civil war questline tried to do like a tragic “both sides are composed of good men trapped in a war of clashing ideals by tragic circumstance, whoever you choose to side with will hold ultimate power so pick your side wisely” sort of thing but the reality of it was just like “everyone whos involved in this conflict is a fucking idiot with at most one redeeming quality. will you side with the ethnonationalists or the guys who are only fighting this war to appease a larger faction of different, more powerful ethnonationalists. by the way this doesnt affect anything in the game except what colour outfit the guards wear in some of the cities”
