A strong smell of coffee spread throughout the apartment and the sunlight was slowly disappearing, soon leaving the room in semi-darkness. Aiden was sitting on a sofa and sipping sweet latte macchiato from big mug. He didn't have strength to get up, close the blinds and turn on the light. His body was too sluggish after the whole day of work and making movements other than necessary seemed to be torture. He was sitting idly then, trying to rest just for a while.
At the hallway that led to living room, he saw Victor's silhouette and his characteristic red irises, slightly shimmering in the darkness. He sighed from disappointment and involuntarily moved his head to the side, wondering how long Victor had been looking at him.
Victor apparently considered it a welcome and moved closer to sit near him on the sofa after a while. Aiden felt his whole body tensing in reaction to his not quite wanted closeness.
Two weeks ago, Victor promised it will be better. lenient treatment in exchange for his obedience (doesn't matter how ridiculous it sounded in his thoughts), seemed like a fair price. Aiden even began to suspect that it was too good to be true and paranoid, tried to find a catch, taking the whole agreement as another Victor's game. But actually, since then, be wasn't punished even once, even though he hasn't stopped himself from saying the truth whenever Victor was annoying him. Although he hadn't freed himself from the fear that automatically appeared in his body whenever Victor approached, it was now unjustified. Since then, Victor hasn't used violence on him. Whenever he fed on him, he tried to be gentler, even though his habits sometimes made Aiden too tired to stand on his own. He began to treat him as something... not valuable, more like something useful, that can't become broken. Unfortunately, with this change came the greater amount of touch that Victor gave him.
Victor approached him and brushed his hair out of his forehead, observing him drinking coffee calmly, unmoved.
He couldn't get used to it, although it couldn't be seen from his behavior. Somewhere inside him he still felt that it's inappropriate. That by giving in to this temptation will only seal his fate. Whenever Victor touched him, usually without even asking for his consent, he felt like throwing up. It was disgusting that the person who had previously hurt him to the point that Aiden just wanted to disappear, now as if nothing had ever happened, wanted to please him and forgot everything that had happened between them. Despite this, he couldn't reject him, after all. Who knows if this vampire would have changed his behavior again and decided to hurt him. Unwanted touch was better than torture, after all, at least as long as Victor didn't do anything more to him.
Victor touched his arm and moved his wrist closer to his mouth. There wasn't anything abnormal in it. Many times, feeding has come down to a trivial thing that he didn't have to think about too much. Today, however, Aiden did not have the slightest desire to do so.
"I don't recommend, " he said. He tried to move his arm away from him, but Victor was holding him too strongly. Hs He was wondering if it will bruise. "I slept only three hours and I'm too tired. It won't taste too well".
Victor moved his fangs closer to his forearm. He felt a slight pressure that appeared a moment before the pain and in a fit of sudden panic, he yanked his arm. The drops of blood started to fall on the sofa from a cut on his skin. The adrenaline overshadowed the pain, a slight burning sensation barely registering in his mind.
"You're reckless," Victor said, annoyed. Without a rush, he licked the blood off his skin, deliberately avoiding the wound to make the blood flow for longer.
"I said I don't want to. Better go to a club, you'll have better blood there."
Victor suddenly moved his tongue along the cut, which made him hiss. However, stinging pain quickly turned into pleasant warmth. Aiden watched in fascination as his tissues regenerated, a cut closed and turned into pink scar and finally disappeared completely. Drops of blood on the sofa were the only evidence that anything had happened.
"I won't. Yours is good enough."
Aiden rolled his eyes and moved half-drunk coffee on coffee table.
"Just because you got used to mine, doesn't matter you can't drink someone else's blood. I know it doesn't work like that," he said carefully.
He didn't want to annoy him, even though he doubted that he may face any consequences in the current situation. Even if he doesn't get punished... Victor was unpredictable. He shouldn't underestimate him.
"I don't like troubling myself. In the club I wouldn't have a certainty of getting good blood. Anyway, I would probably have to use a venom or hypnotize them. Humans don't like being bitten."
"I forgot you can do that," Aiden muttered, feeling his glaze on him.
"You know, I can always..."
"No," Aiden stopped him and shuddered when Victor kissed his wrist.
He didn't remember Victor ever charming him before. He remembered suggestions and a feeling when sometimes his body moved on its own, as if he was controlled. A slight pulling in his muscles when he was doing something against his own will. A slightly foggy mind when he thought that it should be like that, that everything was alright. However, it was always short-lived, and never had much of an effect on him afterwards, except perhaps for a feeling of resentment and even greater dislike for Victor. He certainly didn't use his venom as well. He knew that vampires create it, that it probably works like an anesthetic and something like an aphrodisiac, but he has never had enough courage to test it on himself. It would have been even worse than pain, worse than giving him control. Who knows what Victor could have done if he was ever in that state. At the mere thought of it his heart began to beat faster.
Victor finally released his arm and turned his head towards him.
"I don't have to explain myself to you."
Victor holded him stronger and, as if coming to his senses, he moved his hand down. Aiden, however, could still feel his cool fingers on his cheek, his nails digging into his skin. Apparently he didn't like this answer, but Aiden no longer had to worry that Victor would hurt him if he did something wrong. Or at least he hoped so. This vampire was unpredictable and could change their contract if he only decided one day he needed a change.
"Would you prefer for me to hurt you or to use my venom? It's purely a theoretical question." Victor smiled, revealing his fangs.
"I would prefer the pain, I think. I don't want... I don't know how I'll react to the venom. I have no idea what could you do to me then, what could I allow you to do. It's... terrifying."
If Victor was offended, he didn't let it show. He stared at him, but he seemed thoughtful, as if he had come up with an idea and didn't want to reveal it to him. He didn't like it.
" In this case, you won't like what I'll do to you soon."
Aiden moved away from him. He wouldn't be able to escape, Victor was a great hunter after all, but his body reacted automatically in response to the danger. He was focusing all of his attention on Victor, to be prepared for any possible attack from him.
"What the hell are you planning?"
Victor reached out to him again and reached for his neck. Then he squeezed gently.
"If I told you, you'd start to panic. Although you are already too stressed. If you choose well, nothing bad will happen to you." Victor smiled and then moved closer to him and effortlessly moved him on his lap and embraced him with his arms. "Do you prefer the pain or the venom, Aiden?"
His voice was warm, full of satisfaction. Aiden felt shivers running down his back and a want to move away from him as fast as possible. In a normal situation, he would have let him bite him, just to get it over with. But now... he sensed like it wouldn't end up with just feeding, all the more so, because the vampire didn't behave like always. He felt as if a hand tightened around his neck, not allowing him to breathe.
"Did I do something wrong? Is it some sort of a punishment? Some fucked up test?"
Victor embraced him stronger, placed his head on his shoulder for a while and kissed his neck, for some reason taking pleasure in their closeness.
"No, it's not like that. Don't think about it as a punishment. I promised I won't punish you for anything again, didn't I?" Victor suddenly placed his hand under his shirt and he gasped.
"So... why do you give me a choice? If you just wanted to feed, you wouldn't ask. So?"
Victor didn't answer immediately. Instead, he ran his hand over his abdomen and slowly moved it lower.
He didn't like where it was going. Aiden closed his eyes. He thought fleetingly that he could try to break out, scream at him that he allows himself too much, although he knew that he wouldn't win with the vampire. He was too weak. However, nothing more happened. Victor stood still, enjoying his warmth. Maybe one day he'll ask him why he started liking the touch so much. Why he seemed like he wanted to keep warm at all costs. But not today. Now he had more important things on his mind.
"I already said that I prefer not to explain. But... if you let me use venom, it will be much easier. Otherwise I'm afraid you'll start to hate me."
Victor laughed. Aiden felt his voice vibrating on his neck.
"Fair. But I won't convince you to do anything. Do as you wish."
"I...," Aiden wondered for a while, although he knew the answer from the beginning. "I don't want the venom."
"Why? You'll feel good. It's really nothing bad. I don't know why you're so anxious about it."
"Venom is addictive," he said.
"No more than cigarettes or alcohol," Victor was still trying to convince him.
Victor caressed his abdomen again, only to dig his nails into him a second later. He probably lost the control of his strength, because he did it strong enough for it to bruise. Aiden hissed and reflexively hit him with his elbow with all of his strength.
Victor holded him even stronger and ran his nose along his neck.
"Don't move. I'll give you strong painkillers later."
Aiden froze, feeling as if someone suddenly took away all of his air. He was sure that Victor heard pounding of his heart, accelerated breathing. He felt like when he did something bad and was awaiting punishment, knowing that his begging and tears won't help him.
He only managed to mutter quiet "please" before he felt sharp fangs in his neck.
Something was wrong. Stinging pain and discomfort that have always accompanied biting, but were bearable, quickly turned into something sharper when the vampire was digging his fangs into him more and more. He whimpered from pain. He felt as if his tissues were crushed by bite force and his neck was being teared more and more. He tried to break out, but Victor was holding him too strongly for him to be able to move. His voice got stuck in his throat and tears were quickly flowing down his cheeks. "I don't want to die," the thought broke through the panic. "Don't kill me. Please, I want to live."
Victor didn't drink his blood for long. He gave the impression that he was more interested in the bite itself than in the feeding. In one move he removed his fangs from him and started to lick off the blood from his neck. However, the pain stayed and Aiden couldn't stop crying.
"Stop it, please. It's too much, please, I can't do it," he muttered in a weeping voice.
"Shhh..." Victor was still licking the blood off his neck.
He has always licked the bite marks to close them. Aiden felt warmth then and the pain slowly disappeared. But now Victor wasn't even touching the wounds with his lips.
"Victor?!" Aiden started to panic once again when he realized that Victor won't heal him. "You can't just..."
"Shh... I just marked you. Now everyone will know that you belong to me. No other vampire will feed on you."
Aiden could barely understand the meaning of his words because of the still intense pain. Blood ran down his neck and stained his shirt, his head was spinning. Victor licked his neck again and stroked his stomach as if to calm him down.
"Please, I'm begging you, it hurts..."
"I told you it will hurt, didn't I?"
Victor just sighed and caressed him again.
"If you want to, I can give you a little bit of mu venom. Not enough to make you high, but maybe it will dull the pain a bit," he whispered into his ear.
"Then maybe..." Victor's hand suddenly moved too close to his boxers. Aiden hissed.
"No! Are you fucked uo in the head!?"
Victor moved his hand away quickly.
"Not this way. It wouldn't even be pleasurable. It hurts too much." Aiden wiped the tears off with his hands, but it didn't help much.
"I understand. And I apologize. I did it for your own good."
"Every bloodbag must be marked. Otherwise someone else could take you away from me. And believe, other vampires can be much worse than me."
Aiden wasn't convinced about it. He felt terrible, not only because of the pain, but also because Victor had once again treated him as his own property, this time altering his body permanently. He was shaken by sobs again.
Victor effortlessly grabbed him by his waist and gently laid on the couch. Then he looked into his bloodshot, teary eyes.
"Go to sleep, Aiden. I'll take care of you."
Aiden felt a strong suggestion in his voice. It wasn't complete hypnosis yet, he could oppose it, but he did not want to. He easily surrendered to his voice, feeling a thick mist envelop his tired mind, his eyelids getting heavy until he could no longer see the vampire who had hurt him, but the soothing darkness.
