Lowkey worried for Beverly
I along with many AHS fans am in love with her and I secretly hope that she’ll rise high in the Cult hierarchy. But I’m really scared with how she’s letting this cult get to her and be so close with Kai. And while it was cool to see her turn the Pinky session on him, I still don’t think that she’s winning him over.
He’s a rising cult leader and manipulation is his greatest strength. And Kai has used that manipulation to appeal to whichever member he’s dealing with and exploit their wants and desires. For Beverly, it’s her frustration at not being taken seriously and wanting to be respected. And I’m afraid that Kai’s luring her into a sense of false security by showing off his tragic backstory and making her think that she was the first one to discover it. Giving her a sense of having power over him when in truth he’s just tricking her to keep her in line. It kinda reminds me of Tate Langdon and how he too used his ‘woobie’ status to earn the sympathy of Violet and the AHS fandom to this day apparently.
The point being: I don’t buy that Kai is willing to show his weaknesses this easily and Beverly is getting rather cocky with her role in the cult. Not saying that’s bad for her to want power, but she should definitely be careful with Kai.
Fortunately, I don’t think she’d be killed off so soon or anything since she’s the only prominent character of color on this show and Murphy is ‘merciful’ enough to at least let one PoC live to see the finale.
