the eternal paradox of writing assassination classroom fanfic is that the very thesis of the series is that being an assassin really isn't good for you and professional killers are cast outs from society who would be happier healing themselves and not murdering ppl.

i love the phrase "which could mean nothing" i think its my favorite thing to come out of the internet ever i love saying it. it could mean nothing but we all know better. we know the truth.
queer rep goes thru these cycles where every couple of years lgbt people are like "we get no rep in media and the representation we do get is way too sanitized and it feels so fake and flat. wheres the queer characters that are messy and flawed and REAL??"
then someone gets brave and makes a character who is a real bastard and makes all the wrong choices and is maybe even malicious at times and they make this character explicitly queer. and then fans are like "this is what you think of us?? worst representation ever" and the creator gets absolutely lambasted, ESPECIALLY if theyre queer themselves
then everyone else sees this and either thinks its too risky to include a queer character, or wants to make sure they're only doing the good and nice representation with no flaws or mistakes

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH NAIL POLISH IN THAT UNIVERSE???

Yeah, this one with them actually painting their nails. So far so good.
However.
How do all these kids come with painted nails too?
Because I don't think a ninja village somewhere in the mountains tends to have nail polish, unless there's some Japanese tradition my stupid gaijin ass just hasn't heard of yet? And how would a toddler still maintain them while spending (presumably) an extended period of time in the forest in solitude?
Or how does little Noriko have perfectly painted nails and even some eye shadow already even during her years in confinement? And then later during her time in the mountains?
Likewise with little 5-year old Samon
Is that just an artistic choice to make everyone slay at all times, do they just happen to have makeshift nail salons everywhere out of sight or are babies just born with that 💅✨drip✨💅?
If anyone would give him a painted black nail polish I def think it would be Isou not Hiiro (And if Touko would've been alive she would've but we all know what happened)
