Hey, gay working class and gay rural interests, aesthetics, and culture belong within the wider LGBT+ community. Country music belongs in gay spaces. Camo and trucker caps and work boots belong in gay spaces. Trucks and doorless jeeps and shitty old beaters belong in gay spaces. GEDs and high school educations and blue collar jobs belong in gay spaces. Being broke and looking like shit belongs in gay spaces. The community isn’t owned by the wealthiest San Fransisco and New York gay-geoisie. Their interests, appearances, and beliefs do not define queerness.

Not that I'm like. Pro animal violence in horror movies obv but I do find it weird how some people are like..... More averse to seeing an animal hurt than a person like ritualistically traumatized and murdered over the course of two hours. It's always struck me as like..... Weird and almost like an edgy performativity that turned into an actual sensitivity. Like esp taking into consideration how cavalier we are as a society, for instance, with the trope of just absolutely destroying young women on screen in borderline rape/horror porn in a lot of mainstream horror. It's just weird and superficial to me
