Macbeth: We have to do something about Duncan… but what?
Lady Macbeth: Kill him.
Macbeth: That’s not who we are.
Lady Macbeth: Then why did you even ask?

Seyton: If I was a boss, I would treat my goons right. They would know love. “You got it, boss” would be met with “Stay safe out there, boys! You’re my pride and joy”.
Macbeth: …
I wanna see someone take the "no man of woman born" thing on the actual meaning of man there, aka short for human, and just like. A fuckin dog runs on and mauls Macbeth while "from mine mothers womb untimely ripped" dude watches-
This is not as hot of a take as I think it is, but I truly believe that in order for Lady Macbeth to be effective, you have to play her as cold, manipulative, and bloodthirsty but ALSO make her charming.
I need her to be conniving, I have to believe that she is welcoming and excited to see Duncan and truly blessed to host him (lie). I need her to be THE BEST party host possible at the banquet, until things get messed up. I want her earnestly distraught when she hears the king has been murdered (another lie). I want the other characters to LIKE her.
I think there’s power in playing her as robotic and cold, I get where the appeal is. I think the play is so much more interesting if you lean into her manipulation though.
(And don’t get me started on her relationship with Macbeth)
i am so normal about macbeth (lying)

Macbeth: Do you like… have any family?
Young Siward: Family?
Young Siward, gesturing to MacDuff’s army: These guys are my family :)
Macbeth, cocking gun: Great, so you don’t.
Ross: So apparently, when Macduff said “fuck Macbeth” he did NOT actually mean “have sexual intercourse with Macbeth the man who murdered my family”.
Lennox: The more you know!
i scrambled wildly for my tablet the second i saw this post
I love this so much thank you
Lady MacDuff: So what do you like about Macbeth if it’s not his looks?
Lady Mac: Idk I like his personality?
Lady MacDuff: Really???
Lady Mac:
Lady Mac: Yeah no it’s not that either
Oh, so killing the king of Scotland makes me ""the bad guy?"" god forbid women do anything 🙄
Ross: So apparently, when Macduff said “fuck Macbeth” he did NOT actually mean “have sexual intercourse with Macbeth the man who murdered my family”.
Lennox: The more you know!

Malcolm: Would you slap your best friend for a million dollars?
Macduff: I would roundhouse kick you for free
Malcolm:
Malcolm: …I’m your best friend :)
Banquo: Accidentally went and got killed yesterday but the witches won’t let me die so I’m back.
Fleance: Macbeth! Could you teach me how to use a sword?
Macbeth: Did you ask Banquo?
Fleance: Yes.
Macbeth: And what did he say?
Fleance: No.
Macbeth: So why are you asking me?
Fleance: Because he’s not the boss of you!
Macbeth, in his head: [this is a trap this is a trap this is a trap]
Macbeth: Think about this, Banquo. I’m you’re hottest friend!
Banquo: No that’s Mac—
Macbeth: I’m you’re smartest friend!
Banquo: Actually Lennox—
Macbeth: I’m you’re nicest friend!
Banquo: Well Ross—
Macbeth: I’m you’re friend!
Act V Scene VIII

Macbeth and Lady Macbeth grumbling in the distance:
Banquo: What’s wrong with you two?
Lady Macbeth: Macbeth and I agreed we’d never go to bed angry at each other.
Macbeth: We’ve been awake since Friday.
Lady Macbeth: WELL IF SOMEONE WOULD JUST ADMIT THEY’RE WRONG AND APOLOGIZE—
Malcolm: This dumb therapist just said I have “unresolved daddy issues”.
Malcolm: First of all, my dad is dead, so you look really stupid right now.
