Well, in the books her mother didn’t actually leave her because she died, so… And in the movies it is never explicitly stated otherwise so we can assume she’s dead in the movies’ storyline too. It’s also true that she was very very young when that happened (she was seven) so she could’ve been not properly equipped to deal with the death of a parent, but also in her book she talks a lot about her mother’s death and never in terms of her feeling like she abandoned her (at least as far as I recall).
