Someone said the crushing feeling of not even fitting in with the people who don't fit in and at first I was like that's cringe..Then I kinda realized the same thing is happening to me rn..I thought I found my people after a life of looking for them but even though they were MY people to a T, I wasn't theirs and dang...like it's so cringe but it lwk fits

I'm slowly understanding how to make friends, and a lesson I learned recently is to not make yourself so open and accessible to people you barely know. Don't try to give them ALLLL of you right away. Be kind and friendly, don't dull your sparkle in hopes they like you, just don't jump straight in like you're close already. Take it slow, have some boundaries, have some conversations. Don't be so quick to give your whole heart away, bits and pieces at a time until trust is built is enough!
