I know you have your theories about him but do you think he will ever be with someone that the entire fandom doesn’t slag off ? What has this latest one done wrong ? She’s divorced, that’s not unusual , widowed , that is but not her fault. She’s making some bad decisions probably because she’s in the infatuation stage and the urge to put herself first with him is too high. But the daughter presumably has always switched around with care given the family situation so she’s probably convincing herself it’s ok. I liked MM and everyone tore her to shreds . He’s absolutely had some questionable choices but he’s at the age now where women will have some previous life I’m sure . Who would we be ok with for him?

Remember he’s the one who openly captained the ship, let the extreme elements of the fans be his attack dogs and played the rest like a fiddle. He is the star of the drama he wrote, scored, produced and directed.
In a fandom of frankly older women, mothers and grandmothers, any mother who puts a man above a child who’s already lost much in her life isn’t going to be looked upon favourably. Of course we don’t know the whole story but the optics make Joan Crawford look like mother of the year.
