Chris Daughtry frustrated after AI photos depicted him paying tribute to Charlie Kirk: ‘I certainly don’t stand with MAGA’
Chris Daughtry is setting the record straight after fake AI photos went viral of him paying tribute to the late Charlie Kirk.
"Oh, why did I ever doubt you? You know I would die here without you."
So I finally got around to listening to Daughtry's Shock to the System album yesterday, and it was so good. I was disappointed in Dearly Beloved (just didn't have the oomph I'd come to expect from the band), but I think now I can safely say: The old Daughtry's back! \o/
One of my favorite songs was "Artificial":
No love, no embrace Something's wrong and outta place A soulless masquerade A disgrace No sickness, no dying, no disease No begging for mercy, on your knees No god, no religion No beliefs
Welcome to your worst nightmare The days are getting dark, you should be scared It doesn't have a heart Plug into the new you, don't resist 'Cause it's no use, it's no use It's digital warfare The death of who we are is right here It's never gonna stop Plug into your new soul, ice cold Mechanical, artificial
And what do you know? My suspicion turned out to be correct - he literally wrote this to be an anti-AI song.
"Artificial" is about the potential nightmare that AI could become and the idea that everything and everyone could eventually be replaced, essentially to perfection, and rendered obsolete. However, the heart and soul of humanity and the ability to feel love, sadness, and compassion can never be replaced. While there are plenty of applications where AI can improve our lives and assist in many areas of creativity, I feel it’s imperative that we find a way to protect our musicians, actors, writers, and all creative outlets from being destroyed.
