Imaginarius

In ancient mythology, the goddess Athena was associated with birds, particularly owls. Although ancient deities were deemed immortal, I chose to portray Athena as an old woman who has aged into wisdom with an affinity for the Earth and its creatures. She is a tribute to my birder friends around the world for their endless curiosity and kindness.

What is a word you feel that too many people use? I am sick of hearing the phrase ‘ double down’ Because it never proceeds anything good, just more of the same nasty stuff, particularly in misguided political negotiations. Also ‘F…k’ and every other word that derives from it. Overuse of these words and others makes them meaningless.

According to mythology, we exist as a result of the incomprehensibly divine act of transforming a tiny barren rock into the shining blue jewel we call Earth. If we momentarily set aside the dramatic ‘big bang’ theory, we mightvisualize that eons-long process of life evolving in an orderly, mundane manner as a corrective to the egregious damages that we have inflicted on our planet. A new beginning, if you will…

In a place where I thank my lucky stars that somehow the world survived the Donald Trump Terror. Still safe, still alive and hopefully in good health. That and greatly relieved that Democrats are back in control, working for Us The People.
