Then the war comes calling. A bounty and a Jedi mission to capture a Separatist fugitive go wrong when Zarela's job crosses paths with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. One slip, one escape, and suddenly the reckless Jedi Knight finds himself face to face with the woman who outplayed them both.

What begins as blame turns into something neither of them can quite name. Stolen moments, shared secrets, and a pull of love that defies Jedi codes and Orisaian restraint. In a galaxy falling apart, some oaths were never meant to hold. The Jedi proved that long ago...

She would also come to understand that she and the boy she saved had been connected long before their births, bound by the daring lives of their fathers and the tides that shaped them both.
