Before the only thing that was being censored on the internet was real life gore and right wing content. If you were there you’ll remember pretty much none of the current free speech people spoke about that and if they did it was positively. No ripples were made in the water when an ogerish site went down and they smiled when someone like Andy Warski lost their YouTube account.
Then in 2018 when tumblr banned porn they got upset because that’s their porn! You can’t take away their porn! But they can’t talk about that one too much because the reality is tumblr didn’t ban porn because of a payment processor or to become more marketable. Tumblr banned porn because there was so much cp on here it was a hub for finding and trading the stuff and the fbi got involved. It was so bad that Apple had to take the tumblr app off the App Store. During that time we straight up didn’t know if the entire site would also just go down. I do not believe for a second that tumblr actually wanted to ban porn, and they weren’t stupid they knew the site’s worth would plummet if there wasn’t porn on here. It was truly the only solution because the problem on here was that fucking bad.
They can’t talk about that though because it reveals the reality of total sexual freedom and expression. It results in child abuse, rape, and human trafficking.
But then the sky opened up for these people! Steam banned a few games about raping, murdering, and torturing women and children designed purely and only for sexual gratification, because a credit card company told them to. Well that’s censorship! That’s bad right guys! They can’t tell us what to jerk off to! We’re victims being silenced! The entire narrative was forever changed in their favor. In reality they should be their knees thanking payment processors for this because now no one can ever think about this kind of thing with nuance again.
I’ll end on this don’t go to bat for these people. They often invoke this false narrative in which if you don’t fight for them you’re next and if you help them now it’ll benefit you in the future. They didn’t go to bat for others being censored in the past and they won’t in the future. Very clearly all this is about porn to them. That’s it. That’s where it starts and ends for them. They’re constantly making this very clear. They support the most violent kind of porn imaginable do you think it makes sense they’d ever stand against feminism being censored? You think they’d ever stand against criticism on something that gets them off being censored? Remember where the true end of total sexual expression and freedom ends. It ends with where tumblr was right before the fbi knocked down its doors.
