“A-ahem…” He is adjusting his glasses every two seconds while staring anywhere but at you. “My private life is… highly confidential! But… Why are you looking at me like that!?” He has to clear his throat and calm down. Wants to play it cool, but can’t think straight when you start being flirty with him.

Everyone knows Trey can’t help but flash that cocky grin of his from time to time—but you, of course, know exactly how to shut him up. The second you settle onto his lap or pull him down so his head rests in your lap and start running your fingers through his hair, he completely melts. His smugness evaporates, replaced by that helpless, soft expression he tries so hard to hide.

He loves nights where the wind whispers outside and the room feels full of nothing but the two of you. You’re sprawled across him, head resting on his chest, while his hands trace gentle patterns along your back. When sleep begins to engulf you, he presses a soft kiss to your forehead, murmuring words like “Good night, sweets,” before letting himself drift to sleep, still holding you close.

Trey isn’t the type to raise his voice—he rarely ever needs to. But the moment someone so much as speaks to you with disrespect, his whole demeanor shifts. He goes quiet, still. That calm, icy kind of protective. All it takes is him stepping in with a low, steady, “Hey, how about we tone it down, yeah?” for the person to freeze and backtrack immediately. Trey may be gentle, but when it comes to you? He does NOT play.

Whenever life starts weighing on Trey, when everything feels too heavy, too suffocating—you’re the first place he goes to. To him, you’re home, the one thing that grounds him when the world stops making sense. He finds you and melts, burying his face in the curve of your neck. His arms slip around your waist, holding you tight as he breathes you in, his voice low and worn as he mutters, “Baby, don’t let go, okay? I just need you for a moment.”

Whenever he’s baking, he always makes a show of rolling his sleeves up deliberately. He knows exactly what it does to you. He pretends it’s just to keep his uniform clean, but the way he subtly tenses and flexes his forearms while mixing a bowl of frosting says otherwise. Every flex of his biceps is practically staged, and he definitely catches the way your eyes stick to him. The tiny smirk tugging at his lips tells you he’s enjoying every second of your reaction. And when you finally look away, flustered, he only chuckles under his breath like, “Mm? Something wrong, sweets?” HE KNOWS DAMN WELL WHAT HE’S DOINGG

Whenever Trey gets into a mood, he’ll swipe a bit of frosting onto his tongue and lean in without warning. Pressing a sugary kiss against your lips so you get a taste straight from him. The moment you pull back, flustered, he just tilts his head with that infuriatingly smug smile and asks, “So? How’s it taste?,” his tone dripping with tease. And when you smack his arm for being ridiculous, he only laughs, utterly unbothered, before going right back to baking as if you didn’t just short-circuit because of him.

He’ll never admit it out loud, but he adores your body in a way that leaves him quietly spellbound. Not even in a dirty way, he’s just deeply, helplessly captivated. Every curve, every little dip, the way your hips sway when you walk—he notices it all. And it drives him insane. When you two cuddle, it’s almost instinctual how his hands roam your body.

kalim al-asim, scarabia’s own beloved housewarden and quite possibly the only person at night raven college who doesn’t go through life with a permanent chip on his shoulder. heir to the al-asim merchant family, passable student, the type of guy who falls hard and fast and who dates with the full intention of marrying you down the line — and someone who is almost impossible not to adore once he fully lets you into his world and you get to see just how deep his optimism and kindness runs. your relationship with him almost plays out like something out of a fairytale… once you get jamil’s seal of approval and get used to how desensitised your beloved boyfriend is to people trying to kill or kidnap him, anyway

it’s no secret that kalim comes from a large family with lots of siblings, all of whom are very vocal about how excited they are to meet their big brother’s future spouse and bug him about bringing you home every time he visits. and his parents are no better, already floating the idea of engagement and marriage from the moment kalim brings you up and they can see how in love he is. oh, but don’t feel pressured to jump straight in, he’s more than happy to make excuses for you until you’re comfortable enough to stay at his family estate over the holidays — and he’ll even teach you some tricks to help you remember all of his siblings’ names and faces (because sevens know that you’ll be swarmed by them the second you step through the gate and he wants to give you a fighting chance)

throwing parties and feasts and celebrations is kind of already kalim’s whole thing, but now that you’re together at least one third of the parties he throws will be in some way dedicated to you. because he just loves supporting and celebrating you. either subtly if you’re on the more introverted side (e.g. not being announced as such but occurring right after you ace an exam, or on a date that’s important to you), or more blatantly if you’re as extroverted as he is — though either way, he will be doing his damndest to ensure you’re having the best time ever because what good is a party if the guest of honour isn’t having a good time?

much to his endless chagrin, jamil kind of has to be involved in your relationship to some extent — though once he’s certain that he can trust you, he will try and minimise that involvement as much as possible for all of your sakes. like after the first few months the most you’ll see of him is when he comes to chaperone any dates you go on outside of campus, or when he wakes you both up after you’ve slept over at scarabia. he’s otherwise happy to do the bare minimum and let you two do your own thing, especially if you take over some of his less important responsibilities (like studying, homework monitoring, and the like) so he can get some much needed rest and focus on his own hobbies instead of trailing after kalim all of the time

kalim is extremely tactile with you — never missing the chance to tackle hug you and spin you around the room in a clumsy makeshift dance, or to smother your face with kisses until you’re both giggling like kids, or to cling to your side while walking to class just to make the most of the time you have together. and while his complete and utter disregard for social etiquette or basic decorum stresses out poor jamil to no end, it’s undeniably sweet just how much he loves being in your arms

and speaking of kisses, his are all super playful in a way that manages to both make your heart race and leave you in a far better (and slightly more flustered) mood for the rest of the day — he’s also the type who can never just kiss you once and who you’ll have to pry off of yourself if either of you have somewhere you urgently need to be otherwise he will just happily continue kissing you all over your face

very big on pet names and pretty much never calls you your actual name unless, for whatever reason, he’s upset with you — and he wants you to do the same for him. the terms of endearment he tends to cycle through are also all in his native language, think along the lines of ‘habibi/habibti’ or ‘hayati’ or ‘ya amar’

as the heir to the al-asim family kalim has grown up surrounded by luxuries most people couldn’t even fathom, and he fully intends to give you the same experience now that the two of you are in a relationship. in other words, you can expect to be spoiled absolutely rotten — and even if you manage to talk him down from the more large and lavish gifts (e.g. a holiday home in some far off land, a whole walk-in closet worth of new tailored outfits, some ancient relic he happened to own and thinks would really suit you, etc.), he will still sneakily find new ways to shower you with gifts and put his money to good use… like paying for all of your meals before you even get the chance to reach for your own wallet/purse, or throwing even more elaborate parties on your birthday to make up for all the gifts he wasn’t able to get you in previous months, and so on

you are one of a very small group of people that he can genuinely trust doesn’t want to cause him any harm and he makes no attempt to hide just how much he loves and trusts you as his partner. though the most subtle but meaningful way this trust shows through is that he will happily dig into whatever food you make without hesitation — which jamil only allows because by the time you two start dating you’ve already long since earned his trust — and he will even do this if you’re not an especially good cook yourself… just eating smaller portions than he would otherwise because he doesn’t actually intend to make himself ill, even in the name of love

while there is always plenty of food to go around in scarabia or at home — curtesy of jamil’s effort more often than not — kalim will still always, without fail, offer you some of whatever is on his plate to share or try (and he gets so happy whenever you offer him some food off of your plate in return… though he can’t actually eat it unless it was made by you or jamil, or unless jamil has already sampled it). and sevens help you if your plate is starting to look even a little bit empty because he will start piling on all of the foods he knows you like onto it the second he realises

magic carpet centred dates? magic carpet centred dates. you’re absolutely gonna give his poor vice housewarden an aneurism one of these days, but that’s a small price to pay to see him smiling so brightly while surrounded by glimmering stars or the dazzling desert sun (and a more than welcome breeze depending on how fast he’s flying it)

the longer you’re together the more you’ll notice kalim’s efforts to become more independent of jamil — both for his friend’s sake and for his own, because he wants to be the best boyfriend he can be for you and that means not relying on someone else to do all of the heavy lifting while he continues to coast through life. it’s a slow process, obviously, but the progress is clear enough if you care to look, and when you acknowledge how far he’s come and how much he’s changed you’ll get to see him light up like never before (after all, who wouldn’t be happy to have their partner acknowledge their efforts?)

nobody is perfect and for as well intentioned as kalim is there are times where he will drop the ball and say something unintentionally dismissive or upsetting to you. and while he always jumps to make things right and properly apologise when he realises what he’s done, it’s still something that you’ll have to face pretty often if you want to be with him

big into words of affirmation and showers you in compliments and praise basically every second that you’re by his side — which is a lot to get used to, but once you realise that he truly does mean every kind word he says with his whole heart it becomes less overwhelming and more flustering/flattering

dancing with you may very well be his favourite thing to do, and whenever he’s in a good mood (which, to be frank, is basically all of the time) you can expect him to take you by the hand and spin you into some improvised dance number that’s sure to leave you breathless and grinning by the time you’re done — even when there’s no music to dance to aside from your giddy laughter as you spin and dip and stomp around to your hearts’ content

with how optimistic and sweet as kalim is with you it’s easy for you to forget just what being in a relationship with him long term will entail — that being the constant threat of kidnappings, food poisoning, and general assassination attempts. so when the two of you start to get serious about staying together, kalim and jamil will be sitting you down and running you through what you’ll be facing and what you’ll be expected to do as you join the family, and while it’s an awkward and difficult conversation to have it’s one that you’ll come out the other side of feeling much more certain about your future with him (if a little bit anxious about the whole assassination thing given how much detail jamil went into all the plots he’s foiled over the years and what could have happened if he hadn’t caught on in time…)

he’s always quick to jump in and offer his support and help whenever you’re in need which is sweet, obviously, but if you’re in dire need of homework help… well… chances are you’re either gonna call jamil for some actual help, or you’re gonna end up needing to help him out instead. yeah, he’s just not the most academically successful student in night raven college, but at least his heart is in the right place?

while he can be a bit naive and oblivious at times, kalim is more than capable of stepping up and comforting and assuring you in the moments where you’re feeling low or less than or otherwise in need of someone to lean on. and don’t worry about getting any snot or spit or tears on his clothes, they can be cleaned later — his focus is on making you feel better and he’s content to stay with you, offering you all the support he can, until you’re ready to move forward

he’s been handling bugs for as long as he can remember, having grown up alongside jamil who just cannot stand to be near them at all, and as such he’s more than happy to remove and relocate any of the little creatures that you stumble across (or that stumble across you in return) if you happen to be frightened of, or grossed out by, them. what a sweetheart!

Earlier today, in Trein’s history class, you were sitting next to Kalim, it was one of the rare times Trein let you and classmates have free time at the end of the period. Most of them were just chatting, but some of them were napping with their heads down on the desk. Kalim was one of the ones who were napping, and you couldn’t help but find his soft snores and the peaceful look on his face unbearably cute. You just wanted to pinch his cheeks, but you didn’t as you were afraid to disturb his sleep, and being seen a weird for doing that. Instead, you thought that since everyone was doing their own thing, and you didn’t have any other friends in this class, so no one had any business snooping on what you were doing… You pull out your diary.

One of the biggest, that thankfully turned out to be the best mistake of your life. Looking back on it, you realize how dumb it was to pull out a book filled with your innermost, private thoughts in a CLASSROOM full of students, but Kalim looked so adorable snoozing next to you, you had to gush about it one way or another. So you opened up a new page in your diary and got to writing, drawing little hearts along the margins while daydreaming about Kalim cuddling you on a magic carpet ride. While you were doing your thing, you didn’t notice, but almost the entire rest of the class noticed you mumbling to yourself, quite loudly. Something you always did while writing in your diary, you couldn’t help it of course, being so passionate about the way you feel. Kalim was the only person who’d understand, your other classmates didn’t, and instead found it weird.

You usually weren’t noticed by most of the others in your class, or even acknowledged as real person until a sub calls your name for a attendance, and some kid goes “Who the hell is [Name]?!”, only to completely forget about your existence 20 minutes later. Part of you preferred it that way, no one knows who you are, so that means no drama, or getting made fun of… Or at least that’s what you thought before some Octavinelle student got annoyed with the tune you were humming, and decided to do something about it. He marched over to your desk with a scowl, like you owed him money, and said, “Hey, do you mind?”, with an attitude. You jumped, not realizing what happened, but not wanting any more interaction from this kid, you apologized with confusion, “Sorry for whatever I did wrong?” The student thought YOU were giving HIM an attitude, then he scoffs.

“Look, I don’t know what you’re getting all upset for. I’M the one who should be upset! All I hear is you just making noises over here.”, he crosses his arms as if he were trying to be threatening. That didn’t exactly work with you, but you were still uncomfortable with some random kid having a problem with you. Though as soon as the words “making noises” comes out of his mouth, you instantly understand why he was so annoyed and your face heats up. Not so annoyed to the point where he’s antagonizing you, but, you’d be a little bothered by loud humming as well, you were surprised that Kalim didn’t wake up from it. “Oh, I’m sorry”, you apologize more sincerely this time, “I didn’t mean to bother you, I was just really focused on something.”

The Octavinelle student just rolls his eyes, clearly just bored and wanting to stir up some trouble at this point. “Yeah, whatever. What could you possibly be so focused on that you-…”, he pauses and looks down at your open diary, then looks back up and locks eyes with you. He smiles wide and mischievously, chuckling as he looks at a little doodle of a heart with you and Kalim’s initials instead, “Ah…I understand now. You were just working up about a little crush of yours.” “Wait, it’s not what it looks like, I was just-!”, you speak quickly, covering up the page with your arms, trying to defend yourself. “Oh, quit the crap, it’s out in the open now! You have a HUGE crush on-!” “NO!! I mean, I don’t not like him, I-…”, your words fail you as you struggle to come up with another defense. By now, the entire class has their eyes on you, with Trein no where to be found.

With how you and the Octavinelle boy just yelled, you both woke Kalim up out of his sleep. He leans up and stretches, letting out a yawn that you found endearing even in your moment of embarrassment. You clearly weren’t beating the allegations. He looked at you and the Octavinelle boy with sleepy, curious eyes, “Hey, guys, what’s all the yelling about? Are we gonna have another ice cream bar at lunch today?” “Uh, no it’s-…”, you try to say, but no one could’ve thought what happened next was going to happen. The student snatches your diary from under your arms, “It’s just that your little friend has something important to share with you…”, then starts to read what you wrote out loud for Kalim and the entire class to hear.

“Oh, Kalim…oh, Kalim, I can’t help but feel my heart melt every time you’re nearby. Honestly, it surprises me that you’re by me so much considering how much of a loser I am. But that’s besides the point. I just wanna smoosh your cheeks and tell you how adorable you are as you sleep next to me. Sometimes, I think you do it on purpose, like you HAVE to know how cute you are at this point. The way you bounce with every step, that cheerful smile, and the way you always put a positive spin on things. I NEED to scorch you all over your face, then scoop you up and put you in my pocket, but that’ll never happen, you wouldn’t want to be seen with a weirdo like me.”, the Octavinelle boy reads in a annoying, high pitched voice.

By now, everyone in class was laughing at you, including Kalim, which broke your heart into a million pieces, and you ran out of the classroom, not wanting everyone to see you cry too. But little did you know Kalim wasn’t laughing at you to be cruel, he was laughing because he was overjoyed. He’s never had someone say such sweet things to him before, and that made him feel all kinds of butterflies flutter in his stomach, the nervous giggles coming out involuntarily. So when you ran out of class, Kalim stared at you in shock for a moment, then immediately ran out after you. You ran and ran till you were behind the school, deep in the woods, trying to wallow in your humiliation, which leads you to the present.

“[NAME]!! [Name]…? I know you’re out here, you don’t have to hide from me!”, Kalim calls out, worried about your safety and wellbeing, “I’m sorry for laughing in class, but you don’t have to be embarrassed in front of me!” He keeps walking, getting more desperate until he spots you behind a tree, your face buried in your knees as you sniffle. Kalim quickly crouches down and wraps his arms around you in a big hug, “Thank goodness you didn’t wander off too far, [Name]…I almost thought I lost you.”, he says with slight guilt. You look up at him with watery eyes and an annoyed expression, wanting to shove him off, but at the same time, wanting so badly to melt into the touch, “Why were you even looking for me anyway? To laugh at me some more? I get it, you think I’m a huge weirdo like everyone else does, and probably a big pervert too.”

“What!? No, I would never think that! What you wrote was so sweet, and nice, and-…”, Kalim pauses to try and stifle some nervous laughter, not wanting to upset you even more, “And it made me feel butterflies in my stomach. I didn’t know you liked me as much as I liked you, and no, I didn’t know about how cute I act either.”, he grins, trying to shed light on the situation. When your expression doesn’t soften up, not even a little, in fact more tears come out of your eyes, Kalim panics and starts trying to kiss your tears away. He leaves little kisses all over your cheek, which after the fifth kiss, you start to giggle over the ticklish sensation. This goes on for about a minute, the both of you giggling together like you’re on a sugar high, you gently push Kalim off, which makes him laugh even more. “Do you feel better now?”, he asks softly, holding his hand out for you to take, “I didn’t mean to make you cry even more.”

“I wasn’t crying because I’m embarrassed anymore, I’m just relieved. Relieved that you’re not judging for my cheesy diary confession, and that you feel the same way about me.”, you take his hand and squeeze it gently, “I was so worried that that guy ruined things between us, not even the chances of dating you. I didn’t want our friendship to be ruined, you are the best friend I’ve ever had after all…I don’t want to lose you.” Kalim blinks back tears of his own, not believing his own ears, the words spilling from your mouth were the most raw and vulnerable words he’d ever heard, and he found it beautiful. “Well, don’t worry. You’ll never lose me, or ruin our friendship. We have something much stronger between us now.”, he kisses your cheek once more.

Riddle chokes on his words, his face going as red as his hair. “Just what do you think you’re doing, Y/n!?!”

“Your hair looks extra soft today. I couldn’t resist.” You keep patting his hair. His brows are furrowed to the max, and he’s making that ugigi sound he makes when enraged, but he makes no move to stop you. “What? It’s not like it’s against some rule.”

“It’s against the rules of common sense!!” Yet, somehow, he can’t bring himself to make you stop. Floyd had done the same thing to him in the past, but when Floyd did it, Riddle beheaded him immediately. It’s different when it’s you, whose touch he always secretly craved. Face still red, he subconsciously leans into your touch. Delighted by this, you guide his head to your shoulder and have him rest it there. “No one can know about this, Y/n…” Riddle whispers to you.

“It’s our secret,” you promise. You couldn’t feel more smug right now. Now that you know he enjoys this, you’ll be regularly using this as a way to make Riddle relax.

LEONA KINGSCHOLAR

Stupid Leona, always inviting you to hang out in his room, just to fall asleep on you. And of course he just loves to use your lap as a pillow, making it impossible for you to do much besides scroll on your phone. You can’t even watch videos since he always complains about the noise. You need to stop enabling this.

Staring down at his annoying sleepy head, you can’t help but notice how glorious his mane looks in the fading sunlight shining through the open balcony. If he’s asleep, then surely he won’t mind if you steal a few head pats, right? He owes you that much for always using you as a pillow.

You reach your hand out and tentatively pat his head. He doesn’t wake up. You move a little more boldly, feeling the bounciness of his hair as your hand sinks into it. His hand suddenly shoots out, grabbing your wrist.

“What the hell are you doing, herbivore?” He sleepily growls, releasing your wrist.

“Collecting my payment for all the times you slept on me,” you respond, pulling your hand away.

“You’re weird, Y/n,” he scolds. Knowing when to give up, you put your arms behind your head for support. Back to staring at the ceiling for you, it seems. “I didn’t tell you to stop.

Once in a while, Leona will remind you why you like his company. You pet his head like the kitty he is while he falls back to sleep.

AZUL ASHENGROTTO

This guy, always buried in his work. You always worry that he’s going to burn himself out, the way he obsessively goes over finances every night. Logically, you know this is probably the most relaxed Azul can get. He loves this shit. The problem is that seeing him work so much stresses YOU out. You need a break from his hard work.

His hat sitting on his desk, you can’t help looking at his fluffy, layered hair. It looks so bouncy, like a squishy toy. “Cutie octopus…” You whisper to yourself. He looks up at you.

“Did you say something, Y/n?” He asks. You rise from the couch in the VIP room and walk to him, as if guided by an outside force. “Y/n?”

“Shhh…” Your hand slowly goes up, lifting past his confused eyes and over his forehead. He lets out a yelp when your hand sinks into his perfectly maintained hair. Sure enough, as soon as you lift your hand, his hair bounces right back into its original position. 

“Y/n!” He squeaks. His elegance and poise melt away under your hand, leaving him a blushing mess with his head on his desk. Finally, he’s stopped working. You upgrade from pats to scalp scratches. “You’re going to kill me… But, please, don’t stop,” he quietly begs. “I-it stimulates neurons, so we can count it as part of my daily routine, okay?” Is he… asking you to do this on a regular basis.

“Okay,” you agree.

KALIM AL ASIM

If anyone’s going to be down for some head pats, it’s Kalim. That spiky white hair of his reminds you of the hedgehogs at Heartslabyul. So pettable. You must have a taste. While Kalim relaxes on one of the cushions in Scarabia’s lounge after a big meal, you smush yourself next to him.

“Hm? Do you want a hug, Y/n? Come here!” He holds his arms out for you. You slip into his embrace, taking advantage of the position to fluff up his hair.

“Your hair is a lot fluffier than it looks. As expected of the guy who can afford the best conditioner in the world.” Your fingers run through his hair, mussing it up into weird styles. 

“Haha, I’ll let you borrow my conditioner, then! It smells so good, right?” He bends his head down so you can sniff it.

“It’s got a nice spice to it. But I’d rather play with your hair than take your conditioner. Lemme do this for a while.”

“Sure! It feels really good…” He scratches his cheek, a slight blush forming. You snuggle deeper into his arms. He leans back and sighs in bliss.

“If Jamil sees me doing this, he’s gonna think I’m trying to hypnotize you,” you whisper in his ear. 

“It’ll be our little secret, okay? I don’t want him to make you stop.” The two of you laugh together, relaxing in the setting light of the sun beaming through the lounge.

VIL SCHOENHEIT

You know if you try to mess with Vil’s hair during the day, you’ll be killed on the spot. So many times have you found your hand reaching for his head, longing for a feel of his perfect hair, only to jerk your hand away before you make a terrible mistake. It isn’t fair for him to flash his sleek, shiny hair at you every day, only for you to be banned from touching it. But that’s during the day. Night brings new opportunities.

Right before he takes his shower is the prime time to strike. While you hang out in his room, watching him get ready for his shower, you make your move. You sneak up behind him, stalking like a tiger about to go in for the kill on its prey. “Y/n, why are you—” Before he can object, your hand is already on top of his head, patting his beautiful blonde hair. His eyes go wide with shock and horror. “Are you out of your mind!?”

“It’s even silkier than I thought!” You beam. You can’t resist reaching up your other hand to card all your fingers through. “So soft, it barely feels real…” Though he should be horrified by the idea of someone touching his hair, the feelings of your fingers massaging his head is irresistible.

“Well, I am about to shower… Okay, I’ll let you do this a little longer.” He leans into your touch, allowing you to play with his hair much longer than originally planned.

IDIA SHROUD

Idia’s hair is one of the seven wonders of the world. That beautiful blue mass of fire on his head is BEGGING to be touched. Sitting next to him on the floor of his room, watching anime with him, his hair beckons to you, as if it has a mind of its own, one much bolder than its host’s. He’s explaining something about the anime to you that you don’t understand, but his words are drowned out by the call of his hair.

“They had to change this part from the manga because—” He shrieks at the warm sensation of your hand on his head. His hair turns pink under your touch. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?”

“Idia, do you realize how irresistible your hair is? I can’t not touch it.” You give him some soft pats, relishing the feeling of your fingers disappearing in the flames.

“H-h-head pats from a girl!? Did I fall asleep watching a romance anime again? This must be a dream…” He whines.

“Not a dream. Accept my pats, Idia. It’s your destiny.” You go from light pats to fully running your fingers through his hair. He keeps whispering “no” under his breath, but instead of shrinking away from you, he curls up into your lap and buries his burning face in his hands.

“I-it isn’t real… But I don’t wanna wake up from this dream.” “Okay. I’ll do this as much as you like. Your hair feels so good.” You pet his head while the anime plays out in the background.

MALLEUS DRACONIA

You must be the only human in all of Twisted Wonderland who would dare attempt what you’re about to attempt. Target: Malleus Draconia. Mission: pat his cute, silly dragon head. Luckily for you, Malleus regularly spends one on one time with you, eliminating the Sebek roadblock. As you hear Sebek yelling for his young master somewhere in the distance outside of your dorm, you lock in on your target, knowing there’s nothing in your way.

You inch closer to him on the couch, getting up to your knees to reach his height, slowly reaching your hand towards his head and fighting the urge to play with his horns instead. You’re on a mission and can’t be distracted. He looks at you quizzically. “What are you—”

“Don’t worry about it,” you whisper. Your hand runs through his silky locks, making him gasp. 

“This is… different,” he says. “You always surprise me with your boldness, Child of Man.”

“You have the softest hair I’ve ever felt.” As if in a trance, you start petting his head with both hands. “I’m stealing your haircare routine.” His shocked face relaxes into a calm, satisfied one.

“Your hands are rather soothing. I don’t mind having you spoil me like this once in a while.” He leans back and savors the feeling of your fingertips scratching his scalp.

Alright. He'll agree. But only if you follow some of his rules. You must use separate blankets whilst you sleep and must sleep facing opposite sides- mainly because he doesn't want you to see the reddening of his cheeks. Not a word will be spoken between you two- as he doesn't want you to hear the nervous cracking of his voice- and, of course, you must come to his next unbirthday as repayment! Both you and him must abide by these rules, or else its off with your head. And maybe even his if his face doesnt cease its flushing.

However, in the dead of the night, where silence and chill slowly seep in through the cracks, you might catch Riddle shuffling closer to you for warmth. Arms wrapped around your waist as he digs his head into your chest, feeling your arms wrap around his form, your loving warmth envelopes him completely. You'd best hope that he doesn't wake up like this though, for the collar around your neck won't be the only thing red.

#. LEONA KINGSCHOLAR.

Leona, of course, was annoyed with the arrangement, muttering something about simply paying for another hotel room- or perhaps even the entire floor. However to his extraordinary luck, none were available. Great. Well whatever, it wasn't like you two hadn't shared a room before.

He would most definitely make you sleep on the floor, and probably wouldn't even give you a blanket. The lion would roll his eyes and tell you to deal with it on your own. But let's say he's grown a softspot for you... and the way that pretty little nighty fell over your shoulders. He'd beckon you over to his laying form, pulling you onto the bed opposite from him. You'd be tucked in, back to his chest, feeling his eyes staring intently into your form. However, whenever you snuck a peek back at him his piercing eyes were shut closed, seeming as if he was sleeping soundly. It’s like sleeping with a predator, much more different from the naps he’d take in the botanical gardens.

As your body finally succumbs to sleep you may feel Leona shift closer to you, pulling you into him. His arms are snug against your waist, head against your shoulder, hair sprawled against you. A sigh left his lips as he pressed small kisses into your neck. His tail would be wrapped loosely around your thigh, legs entangled with yours. It was like he was trying to mold every body part to yours. And when you snuggled back into him, the lion couldn’t help but chuckle, he knew he chose the right one. It was some of the best sleep either of you had ever gotten.

Oh, and he's not letting you go the next morning.

#. AZUL ASHENGROTTO.

The concept of sharing, plus Azul Ashengrotto, is practically unimaginable. Sharing anything with him, let alone a bedroom, would most definitely end in your sanity cracking. He would come up with a plethora of ideas, all no doubtly ending in you making some sort of deal with him. Such as potentially giving you half the room if you take a couple shifts at the lounge. If you disagree he'll let you sleep on the floor... only to lie awake the whole night because, 'how could he ever let you of all people sleep on the floor.' If you agree, however, he will undoubtedly become a flushed mess, trying to stay calm and dignified as he utters his terms with a completely red face. He was absolutely sure you were going to disagree!!

Either way it'll end up with you sleeping besides him. Either due to his own guilt or a badly written contract.

Azul sleeps like a brick. His arms are by his sides or resting on his chest, legs straight and still. He doesn't move whatsoever, it doesn't look like he's even breathing. His face is unmoving and calm, like he has nothing to worry about. However if you look closely you can see the faint twitch of his eyes, and the slight reddening of his pretty cheeks. Its amazing how a man who tries to present himself as classy gets flustered so easily.

Late into the night he finally begins to loosen up, turning onto his side to face you. His hand intertwines with yours, pressing your foreheads together in a sleepy spell. Your breaths mix with one another, adding a feeling of warmth that contrasts his cold body. His legs entangle with your own, acting as his tentacles that he so desperately wants to hold you with. He can't help but smile within his dreams. Hmm... he might have to make a deal with you to do this again sometime.

#. KALIM AL- ASIM.

Kalim doesn't complain when Crowley tells the two of you to room together. He even offers his bed to you with no hesitation whatsoever. He could probably buy the entire hotel for you if you had just asked. A bright smile is on his face as he takes your hand in his, dragging you up to his room. Out of all the boys hes the one most used to sleeping with other people. His parents were always so busy, that his younger siblings came to him, their older brother, to get comfort at night. This ritual of always sleeping together suddenly stopped when he came to NRC, and it took him a while to finally be able to sleep alone. That's likely why he always asks to have sleepovers with you.

It would take a while to actually fall asleep with him next to you though, as the two of you would be too busy goofing off instead of actually sleeping. He'd make the two of you watch musicals late into the night, singing loud enough to be heard by the underworld. You would have pillow fights, toppling over one another in a fit of giggles.

When the two of you finally get too tired to continue Kalim climbs into bed facing you, his smile never once leaving his lips. He faces you as he lies there, his hand cupping yours in a comforting manner. He would entangle his legs with your own, sometimes playfully kicking yours when you would accidentally tickle him within your pile of blankets and pillows.

As exhaustion begins to settle in Kalim shifts closer to you. He hugs you in his sleep, both arms wrapped around your waist as he pulls you into his chest. His head rests atop yours, smile never once leaving his face as he cuddles you even closer. The blankets are kicked off as one of his legs wrap around your hips, the other hanging off the bed. Its a mix of holding you like a koala and a monkey. If even possible, his smile grows tenfold, not being able to help the dreams of doing this over and over again with you.

#. VIL SCHOENHEIT.

Vil is probably the most irritated with Crowleys negligence. Because of the headmasters bare-bones way of thinking he is stuck with you in his room. However, he begrudgingly agrees, quick to tell you that there will be no horsing aorund when you both need as much sleep as you can possibly get. Yet, he's not too upset with the arrangement, he'd rather it be you he's stuck with than some other loudmouthed potato.

He sits you down at the nightstand when arriving in the room, taking out skin-care products to begin prepping your face. If you're going to be staying in his room you must follow his word, including his skin care routine. There's a hint of irritation in his eyes, still a bit peeved by the situation. What if his fans get a hold of this? What kind of scandal would occur? However, as the night goes on you can see the stress leave his gorgeous eyes. As the two of you sip on tea, enjoying quiet laughs and soft smiles, Vil begins to relax.

When finally getting to bed the two of you lay on your backs, Vil having his hands crossed over his chest with his eyes closed like a sleeping princess. He's tucked into his blankets carefully, legs straight and poised. Of course he had perfect posture even in bed- it only made sense. No words would be exchanged between the two of you. Its almost ungodly how beautiful he looks asleep.

Vil doesn't move much in his sleep, but he definitely sleeps elegantly. Even while you cuddle into his side, a hand resting on his chest with a leg thrown over his own- sleeping like the potato you are- he still stays regal. One of his hands holds yours, intertwining your fingers while the other pulls you in by the waist. He moves your head to rest on his chest, moving the hand that was on yours to comb through your messy hair. He sighs to himself, but it's not one of annoyance.

#. IDIA SHROUD.

Idia is probably the quickest to shut down Crowleys suggestion of the two of you sharing a room. He didn't even want to be in this hotel anyway, being surrounded by other students from Night Raven was absolutely terrifying in itself. And sharing a room with you would be petrifiying. Ortho is way too fast to interfere, though, seeing a golden opportunity to have you and his brother have your very own romance route moment- he wasn't about to let it pass!

Idia is flabbergasted. He planned on letting you keep the room to yourself- close to renting a whole ass hotel for himself. He much rather preferred being ten thousand miles away, watching you from afar then actually interacting with you. Plus his brother's excitement to the whole situation was a bit too overwhelming to handle. However, seeing that guilty look on your face as you asked him to stay made his heart race in ways he had never experienced. Sevens... he felt like he was about to melt into his own hair. What the fuck did he just agree to.

He would be pressed to the corner of the room, trying to distract himself with his tablet. He steals glances at you, tapping away nervously as the tips of his hair begins to flush a pale pink. He's clearly freaking out internally, a million scenarios running through his head like a hamster on a wheel. What if he somehow messed up by tripping over your suitcase and landing on his head, embarrassing himself forever? Or, what if while tripping, all your clothes come tumbling out of your bag and he sees something he shouldn't?! Its shocking just how pink he can get.

When it comes time to sleep he's as still as a brick, eyes wide and trying his hardest to not move. The two of you would be back to back, sometimes brushing up against one another when shuffling around for comfort. Whenever this would happen he would curl up into a ball, pressing his hands to his face as he apologized profusely. And when he would hear your laugh- telling him not to worry about it- he couldn't help but flush more. God this was way too much to handle!!

Idia could not fall asleep the whole night. And it definitely wasn't because you were pressed up against him. Nor was it because you were hugging him like he was a stuffed animal. And it for sure wasn't because he could feel your breath at the back of his neck, sending cold shivers down the hot mess he was becoming. He just hoped Ortho was actually charging and not giggling silly at his ship finally coming true.

Not that he'd mind if it did.

#. MALLEUS DRACONIA.

Malleus is actually the most accepting of the arrangement. It's Sebek who has a massive problem with the situation, however Malleus is quick to ease his worries. He has always wanted a sleepover with someone, and who better than you, prefect?

As soon as you enter the room Malleus is all over you. He fusses over every little detail, trying to make sure everything is comfortable and in a good enough condition to suit your needs. But in the least subtle way possible. Is the room too hot? Perhaps too cold? How are the pillows? Do you need more? Are they too stiff- or too fluffy? Or maybe you need some more blankets? Perhaps he should get some more just in case.... He knows he is being overbearing but how could he help it? He had to make sure everything was just absolutely perfect for his child of man.

It takes a while, but once you finally get Malleus to settle down he flops down into a comfortable position on the bed. Right on top of you. His head lays on your stomach, horns near your chest. One of his hands supports his head, feeling how your heart beats while the other holds you in place by the hip, gently rubbing circles into it. His claws lightly dig into your skin, feeling your heartbeat increase as he gets closer. Its ever so enticing to just sink his claws into you to see how you'd react. His legs trap yours in place, wrapping around them like a dragons tail would. He can't help but sigh in content, looking up to your flushed face with a sly smirk on his face. Oh how he would love to cuddle you for eternity. Your forced to sleep like this the whole night. And the next... and the next.

🎪—————————————————🎪

The courtyard is quiet this late.

Most students have already gone back to their dorms.

Only the faint rustle of leaves and the distant murmur of the campus fountains fill the air.

You find Elias exactly where you expected him to be.

Sitting on the stone railing.

One leg dangling lazily over the side, the other bent comfortably beneath him.

He looks relaxed.

Like always.

Like nothing in the world could possibly bother him.

“Hey,” he says when he notices you.

His voice is light.

Easy.

The same as it’s always been.

“You’re out late.”

You stop a few steps away.

“So are you.”

He shrugs.

“Couldn’t sleep.”

You walk closer.

Elias watches you with that usual half-smile — calm, amused, unreadable.

“Something on your mind?” he asks.

There’s a strange softness in his voice tonight.

You nod slightly.

“Yeah.”

He tilts his head.

“Sounds serious.”

You hesitate.

“…I heard something today.”

“Oh?”

“That you’re repeating the year.”

For a moment, Elias doesn’t react.

Then he exhales quietly.

“Ah.”

“So it’s true.”

“Looks that way.”

His tone is still casual.

Almost careless.

Like he’s talking about the weather.

“You don’t seem surprised.”

“I’ve had a year to get used to the idea.”

“That doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck.”

He chuckles softly.

“Fair.”

The silence stretches.

You lean against the railing beside him.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

Elias stares up at the dark sky.

“I didn’t want to worry you.”

“You think I wouldn’t find out?”

“Eventually.”

You frown.

“That’s not a good reason.”

“Probably not.”

Another quiet moment passes.

The wind stirs gently through the trees.

“…There’s something else.”

Your stomach tightens.

“What?”

Elias doesn’t look at you when he says it.

“We should break up.”

The words land softly.

But they still feel like a punch.

“…What?”

He finally glances over.

Still calm.

Still relaxed.

Like this is a perfectly normal conversation.

“I think it’s for the best.”

Your chest tightens.

“For who?”

“For you.”

You stare at him.

“…You’re joking.”

“I’m not.”

“Elias.”

“I mean it.”

The words are gentle.

But firm.

Your throat feels tight.

“Where is this coming from?”

He leans back on his hands slightly.

“Look at my situation.”

“So?”

“I’m on probation.”

“I know.”

“I failed as house captain.”

“That wasn’t your fault.”

“I still failed.”

His voice stays even.

Measured.

“And now I’m repeating a year while everyone else moves forward.”

“That doesn’t change anything.”

“It should.”

Your stomach drops.

“…Why?”

Elias finally looks at you fully.

And for just a second, the calm expression cracks.

There’s something tired in his eyes.

Something heavy.

“Because you deserve better than someone like me.”

The words hit harder than you expected.

“That’s not your decision to make.”

“Maybe not.”

“Then stop acting like it is.”

Elias smiles faintly.

“You’re stubborn.”

“Because you’re being ridiculous.”

“Am I?”

“Yes.”

Your voice shakes slightly.

“You don’t get to decide what I deserve.”

“I’m trying to protect you.”

“From what?”

He doesn’t answer immediately.

Just watches the dark courtyard.

“…From me.”

Your chest aches.

“That’s stupid.”

“Probably.”

“Then stop.”

“I can’t.”

The words come out quieter now.

More serious.

“I’ve already caused enough damage here.”

“That has nothing to do with us.”

“It has everything to do with us.”

You shake your head.

“No, it doesn’t.”

“It does.”

His voice stays calm.

But there’s something tight beneath it now.

“Anyone close to me gets dragged into the mess.”

“I don’t care.”

“I do.”

Your eyes sting.

“So that’s it?”

He doesn’t answer.

“You’re just… giving up on us?”

“I’m letting you go.”

“That’s the same thing!”

The words echo across the quiet courtyard.

Elias flinches slightly.

You breathe shakily.

“You’re not even fighting for this.”

His gaze softens.

“…If I fought for it, I wouldn’t be able to let you go.”

Your heart twists painfully.

“Then don’t.”

“I have to.”

“Why?”

His voice drops.

“Because if something happens to you because of me…”

He trails off.

The silence finishes the sentence.

You stare at him.

“…You really think leaving me will hurt less than that?”

Elias doesn’t answer.

And that silence is the answer.

Your chest feels like it’s collapsing.

“…Someday I’ll probably be everything to somebody else. Someone who doesn’t push me away.”

The words slip out quietly.

Elias freezes.

The calm mask finally cracks.

Just a little.

But you see it.

And that somehow hurts even more.

“…Maybe.”

Your voice trembles.

“I wish it was you.”

The words hang in the air.

Heavy.

Final.

Then you turn.

And walk away.

Elias doesn’t stop you.

Doesn’t call your name.

Doesn’t move.

You disappear down the path.

The courtyard falls silent again.

Elias stays on the railing long after you’re gone.

The night air feels colder now.

“…Well.”

He exhales slowly.

“That could’ve gone better.”

His voice is still light.

Still joking.

But no one’s there to hear it.

He stares at the empty path where you left.

“…You deserved someone stronger.”

The words sound hollow now.

Because the moment you walked away…

It stopped feeling like the right decision.

Elias leans forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees.

“…Damn.”

For someone who always looks so relaxed…

His hands are shaking.

Just a little.

“…I hope that someday,” he murmurs quietly,

“you really do find someone better.”

But for the first time since meeting you…

Elias wishes that someone could have been him.

Leo - Pride/Greed. Pretty sure he loves feeling superior. I read that greed can be tied to deceit so.. Leo and his catfishing. Leo and his meddling with things. Leo and his fake sweet persona online.

Alan - Wrath. Yeah I think we've seen it before, he can be quite.. scary. Seeks revenge too.

Sho - Absolutely no idea sorry. No matter how hard I think I cannot match anything for him. Maybe wrath, but I can't exactly find anything to support that claim.

Hotarubi

Haku - Sloth/Lust. Not sure if sloth matches since he can appear lazy and laid back, but really isn't idk. Lust might be literal for him just look at his interactions with mc sometimes..

Subaru - Envy*. Although he'd probably hate to admit it, he might feel envious. He wants to be a good, reliable Captain but Haku somehow does everything while making it look effortless.. Can't help but be jealous of how easily he manages things. That's just one example.

Zenji - Does Zenji even have any flaws? Same like with Sho I can't think of anything. The closest could maybe be Lust/Gluttony, but only in the scenario where Zenji loses himself in his poetry completely and just ignores the rest of the world idk.

Mortkranken

Yuri - Pride/Lust. He is the best doctor after all, and a genius at that!! Literally calls people worms that should say everything. As for the lust, he constantly seeks improvement (finding the cure for mc's curse for example) so lust here in the meaning of craving more knowledge.

Jiro - Lust*. Similarly to Yuri, he appears to be very curious about various things and always seeks to explore them.

Frostheim

Jin - Sloth/Pride. This is a little unfair though, considering what Thoma said about Jin being very kind and stuff but yeah, judging what I see. He made mc his servant because he's too proud to just say he likes her presence near him. Also we see him in his chamber most of the time, but at the same time he is a man of action. So idk.

Tohma - Pride*. A little light on it though, compared to Jin he is just a bit more approachable.

Kaito - Envy*. Literally cause he envies Luca/other guys their smoothness and their moments with mc. It should be him not them!!

Lucas - Wrath. I know, Luca and wrath but just...yeah. Think about that one scene in the last episode of season one.. Plus he does say he wants to subjugate demons. There's something different about him whenever they're mentioned.

Obscuary

Rui - Envy* In a sense where deep down, he wishes he could go back to life without his curse. Interact with people more, touch them. I'm sure there is jealousy and longing in his eyes whenever he sees people interact closely.

Edward - Sloth/Lust. But mostly sloth... Can't even be bothered to leave his room most of the time and I'm not taking this weak and fragile and weak bullshit. Bro just prefers not having to do anything at all.

Lyca - Envy* Again. Lyca is doing his best to socialize with humans. He's studying at school, learning how to interact. Yet people are still wary, even scared of him. It's 'easy' to blame him for misfortunes. And so, he might be envious of the perfect social butterfly kind of people that everyone likes.

Jabberwock

Towa - Wrath. Try to take Haru or anyone else who matters from him and see what happens. Maybe envy would suit him too, but yeah, he literally is only held back by other people. If not for that, I'm pretty sure we would already have a few less ghouls :))

Haru - Greed/Gluttony*. I don't know, something about Haru and his love for various gadgets and trying to get customers whenever he sees the chance?

Ren - Sloth. Bro does not want to be here and I relate honestly. He has a job, but he doesn't want to work. The safari needs help but he doesn't want to work there either. Missions? Forget he's going willingly. Pretty sure he just wants to go home.

Sinostra

Romeo - Greed/Pride. We've seen examples of him being attached to his possessions before. There's not enough money for him either. And to top it off, he will not let anyone tell him shit.

Taiga - Sloth/Wrath. Funny combo kind of, I need more of Taiga lore honestly cause he's either in his room refusing to go anywhere or destroying things with wild satisfaction and no in between.

Ritsu - Pride*. Although he doesn't come off as too rude with it, he simply is confident enough to say he is Japan's next top lawyer and knows his stuff when it comes to it. Maybe a little greed mixed in for craving to be the best of the best?

Dionysia

Jo - Greed*. Okay this is gonna be completely out of my ass. I'm sure all of the Dionysia ghouls love attention, some more some less. The greed could be related to having the audience's attention at all times. Surprising them, making them gasp. He wants to leave them hooked and impressed.

Elias - Sloth*. Though I'd say he's getting this one cause he tries to keep up a certain image of himself that he wants others to see? He did mention he's the weakest, nothing special and what not. Sus.

Mio - Greed*. Again kinda random but with every invention he creates, it doesn't quite seem to be enough. Maybe he's always looking to improve/come up with something better and it never stops?
