Someone DM me asking why I blocked one of their accounts and I was confused as hell because I only block scam accounts and sex bots on this account.
Then they asked if they'd ever left a rude comment on one of my posts, since I'd once said I only block people who are mean to others for no reason.
A few messages later, they realized they were actually the one who had blocked me 😂 They'd mistaken my account for a spam bot when they first came across it.
Brother 💀
As I've mentioned before, I only block people who are rude to others for absolutely no reason.
If you genuinely don't act that way but somehow ended up blocked by me, I probably mistook your account for a spam bot or something.
Feel free to DM me about it but maybe check your block list first... There's high chance you're actually the one who blocked me first. I rarely block anyone on this account other than obvious spam or bot accounts.
I’ve been wondering if the ghouls made their pacts at different ages could’ve been similar but my point is that first years are 20 minimum so lets say that one of them made their pact at 15 and the other 17 assuming they’re still in high school when becoming a ghoul, what happens after, are they under supervision until they become old enough to enroll in Darkwick ? I used first years as an example but Im referring to all the ghouls
My guess is that they're kept under supervision, but if Darkwick sends them an invitation, it's still up to them whether they enroll or not.
For example, Leo and Sho seem to have made their demon pacts pretty early, yet we still see them living their own lives before deciding to attend Darkwick. That makes me think Darkwick mostly monitors them, but the decision to enroll is still 100% theirs. Of course, that supervision is probably for safety reasons and to protect the secrecy of the anomaly world.
I think it's somewhat similar to Alan's case, just in a less direct way. Alan's father was directly involved with the Institute, so they had to handle Alan personally. With other ghouls though, they probably take a more subtle approach, including quietly "cleaning up" any incidents or evidence if a ghoul accidentally leaves something behind.
Cases like Ren and Kaito's seem much more typical. Darkwick simply sends them an invitation, and whether they accept or not, the Institute probably still has ways to keep them under surveillance.
Also, not every ghoul seems to be in their early 20. Some could easily be in their late 20 or even older (we have Ed so like why don't assume at least some of them alr 30 or older) if you want to interpret it that way. Darkwick doesn't function like a normal academy where everyone enrolls right after high school. It seems possible for people to live their lives, gain work experience, or continue their education before eventually coming to Darkwick. If that's true, then they may have been monitored for much longer than we realize before deciding to enroll.
Darkwick also presents itself as a place that guarantees a bright future, a stable career, and a comfortable life after graduation. I imagine that's a huge reason why many ghouls and students choose to attend. They probably just want to finish their training, graduate, and finally have a stable life. Of course, none of that comes for free. You still have to work incredibly hard for it. Like Haku said, if you do them a favor, they'll return the favor.
So either Darkwick is simply very persuasive and knows exactly how to present benefits that are attractive enough to convince people to enroll, or they're confident that even if a ghoul refuses to attend, they can still keep tabs on them and intervene whenever necessary.
Kaito's story also supports that ghouls are already under supervision before enrolling. His flashback confirmed that he made his demon pact at a very young age, and after his grandmother was hospitalized, he had to live with relatives. I like to think that when he received Darkwick's invitation, he accepted because he didn't want to keep burdening his relatives now that he was old enough to take responsibility for himself. Darkwick offered him housing, education, work opportunities, and a much more stable future, so enrolling would've been the practical choice.
Overall, I think it's pretty clear that Darkwick keeps track of as many anomaly related cases as possible, including ghouls. If anything, they'd pay even closer attention to ghouls because they consider Stigmas to be highly dangerous. It makes sense that they wouldn't want people with that kind of power wandering around completely unsupervised.

If ghouls live away from their families does that mean they don’t keep in contact/ visit, like i find it hard to believe that they or their families don’t keep in touch unless they all got bad relationships but are either side okay with not communicating in like 3-4 years? Does this also apply to general students? also are there any breaks/ week off during the school year
Thoughts?
I think they do contact and visit home. It's just heavily restricted, and they probably need Darkwick's approval or permission first.
Being a captain or vice-captain likely gives you more freedom to do that. Of course, Darkwick is probably still keeping an eye on you, but as long as you don't do anything too serious or out of line, they seem willing to let it slide.
Take Jin, for example. We know he doesn't seem to have the best relationship with his family, or at least it's heavily implied. Even so, he still uses his family's resources, which means he's still in contact with people both outside and inside the academy. I also believe he's still the public face of the family in some way, so there's a good chance his father would still expect him to attend certain events. His assistant could easily be the one contacting Jin and informing him about those obligations.
Some ghouls probably don't even have families anymore, or they stopped contacting them long before enrolling at Darkwick. So if they never visit or contact anyone, that's completely understandable too.
Elias is another example. He mentioned writing letters, or at least staying in contact with his friend(s) overseas, and they even sent him a care package. That alone suggests Darkwick allows communication with the outside world. Whether someone chooses to stay in contact is probably a personal decision. They may also keep their family life private since they're just normal humans who aren't supposed to know about the anomaly world.
We also know Haku stays in contact with his family. In SS1, his family even contacted him through Darkwick. He's a special case though because, like the Kamurai family, his family already knows about the anomaly world. Because of that, they're probably allowed more direct communication.
For people like Rui or Mio, I like to think they still contact home, just very quietly. In Rui's case especially, staying away from his family makes sense because of his curse. They could easily tell their families they're working overseas or away on long business trips. We really don't know.
Some characters also have very complicated or tragic backgrounds that imply they either don't have families anymore or those families are no longer part of their lives. So it's perfectly normal if they never contact or visit anyone because they may simply have no one left to contact.
Romeo also seems to stay informed about his family's situation even though they're in another country, which suggests long-distance communication isn't impossible either.
As for the general students, I imagine Darkwick has holidays or certain periods when students are allowed to go home. After all, if they want to keep the anomaly world a secret, they still have to let students maintain enough of a "normal" life to avoid raising suspicion among outsiders.
Darkwick is also an elite academy, so strict rules, privacy and secrecy make sense. A lot of prestigious institutions are known for being exclusive and keeping things behind closed doors, so people probably don't question it that much because it's fairly common for schools like that.
Lastly, it could simply be a cultural difference. In some countries, families don't constantly contact or visit each other. Going 3 to 4 years without seeing your family isn't necessarily considered strange. Some people have siblings at home, while their parents are busy living their own lives, so everyone just carries on independently.
After all, even though Darkwick doesn't have clubs because of its curriculum, it still holds events and seasonal festivals. That makes me think students are still allowed some form of entertainment and scheduled breaks. It could even work like a job where you have a certain amount of leave that you can use whenever you need it.
IMO I don't really think that the mc will turn into a ghoul, the kykklos or remain human because when Ed said "she will become one of us", I think he meant it in a more half dead way since they exchanged their souls and now they're just bodies with no soul for the mc it could happen vice versa or she could exchange her humanity to become half human half anomaly, like the ghouls but in a different font. Curious on ur opinion tho
I don't really understand the first part. But if you mean that ghouls don't have souls, then I don't think that's the case.
a Ghoul is a humanoid (like a human, vampire, or werewolf) who has successfully made a pact with a demon in exchange for a wish. Unlike most people who get devoured by the demon, ghouls survive and absorb the demon's power, granting them enhanced strength and unique supernatural abilities called "Stigmas".
To become a ghoul, you have to survive the pact. To me, that means you have to keep your soul.
So if you mean they're "half dead" soulless beings with only a body left, I don't think that's an accurate way to describe ghouls. They still have souls, at least from how I understand it. Demons devour human souls, so if your soul had already been completely consumed, you probably wouldn't have survived the pact in the first place.
As for the Kyklos Curse and Demon Pact, I actually wrote a theory about how I think the Kyklos Curse works. It's not a normal theory post though. I wrote it like a research data log. You can check it out here: 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄
In short, I think the Kyklos Curse works more like a mutation or parasite. It needs a host to spread its curse and reproduce its own species.
That idea came from how Yuri and Jiro explained anomaly curses in one of their House episodes. They described anomaly curses as being similar to illnesses or allergic reactions.
Internal Infection: The anomaly leaves behind specialized viruses or bacteria inside the victim's body, destroying them from the inside.
Allergic/Foreign Retribution: The anomaly leaves behind a piece of its own organic matter, triggering severe biological rejections, severe allergies, or mutations.
They also explained that people who survive a demon pact and absorb fragments of the demon are basically people whose bodies are able to fight back against that "allergic reaction" and eventually become immune to it.
So this is how I think the Kyklos Curse works in the TKDB universe.
The curse is actually the Kyklos' method of reproduction. Instead of just dying, the victim’s body slowly mutates over the year. When the timer hits zero, they permanently transform into a mindless monster (an anomaly)
Because of that, I still believe ghouls keep their souls, or at least enough of them to win the pact. It's like they found a loophole in the contract and used it to their advantage, allowing them to gain more than the small benefit demons intended to give them. Because of that, the demon can't completely devour their soul.
That's also why, in my Kyklos Curse theory, I think the MC could end up the same way. She could still keep her soul even after becoming Kyklos. The problem is that victims of the Kyklos Curse can't always control their bodies or stay aware all the time. It's more like they're trapped inside a body that no longer belongs to them, forced to watch themselves become something they don't recognize. Almost like there are two souls sharing the same body and fighting over control.
Demons devour souls. Kyklos is much sneakier. Instead of consuming your soul outright, it tries to anabolize your soul into its own rather than simply devouring it.
Because of that, when Ed says "she will become one of us" I think there are several ways to interpret it.
He could simply mean she'll become an anomaly like them. Ed believes humans and anomalies can't coexist, so "one of us" could just mean she'll become an anomaly, not necessarily a ghoul, Kyklos or anything more specific.
There's also the possibility that the MC's existence was already considered anomalous long before she was cursed. We still know very little about her background.
Another interpretation is that he means she'll be deceived, exploited, and monitored by the Institute, just like most anomalies in this world. They're all under Darkwick's surveillance, and some are even captured for research. So if MC becomes Kyklos, Darkwick might keep her in a laboratory to study her and search for a cure. In that sense, her existence would already have more in common with anomalies than most people assume.
Right now MC is already somewhere between human and anomaly. The Mesmer Match didn't work on her at all, and the Anomaly Ring chose her. So in some ways, the moment she was cursed by Kyklos, she was already half human and half anomaly. The real question is whether she'll have to give up her humanity to stay alive. So yeah your point is still stand, dw 👍
If we're talking specifically about Kyklos, then if it successfully takes over the MC's body, that's already a way of taking away her humanity. But if her soul is still inside her body, then she's technically still alive, just not in the kind of way anyone would actually want to live :))
Kyklos doesn't kill people, and it doesn't devour anything from humans. It roots its consciousness inside the host's mind and takes control of them, using them to infect more people and reproduce. So in that sense, the MC would never actually die unless someone chose to end her life. She's just cursed, or as Yuri explained it, she's simply sick.
So I think becoming "one of us" like Ed said, isn't really about whether she's alive or dead. It's about whether she can overcome this illness, just like ghouls survive the demon pact. They fought against that "illness" or allergic reaction and regained control of both their souls and their bodies. In that sense, "one of us" could actually mean surviving the anabolism phase of Kyklos and learning to coexist with it instead of being completely consumed by it.
If MC can do that, then she'd directly challenge Ed's belief that humans and anomalies can't coexist. She would become proof that coexistence is possible, as long as she can overcome the Kyklos Curse.
Tbh I always say that Tohma would tease and edge you to hell while looking all neat, clean and polished in his Frostheim clothes, but that's just Frostheim Tohma. I know Vagastrom Tohma is FILTHY, at least way WAY nastier than Frostheim Tohma. If the blue attire is only teasing and edging you, me think the yellow attire would go full on dirty talk, overstimulating you while keeping you under strict orgasm control. Even if you behave like a sweet little angel instead of a brat, he'd still find an excuse to break you. He wants to make an absolute mess out of you, making your thighs shake violently and leaving your voice completely raspy from screaming and moaning his name. He loves leaving you unable to walk or stand up the next day, forcing you to squirm helplessly under him. Every single time your eyes briefly meet, it already feels like he's eye-fcking you across the room in that neat uniform. Who tf would believe you if you said the man is that depraved? (Besides Jin). Torturing your body like that is just one of his love languages.
He might treat you with care and be incredibly attentive out of bed, but inside it? Hahah, you'd better get ready to be absolutely ruined if you want to keep up with him, Dove ^^
Not relate to anything but I hate the tkdb confession blog. Since people already being rude and negative in fandom space very publicly now giving them anon space just mean they'd be more rude and mean and even spread more misinformation than before. I really hate the idea. And guess what. I was right from the start. Kin, I really like you and I hope you and all my favorite writers and artists won't feel disregard if you ever read anything negative from that blog. Their words mean nothing and what matter it that others enjoy being part of fandom and do our own things.
Tbh, I think you just need to block the content you don't want to see. And I actually think a confession blog is a great idea. If people who enjoy being "negative" as you said all move to one place, wouldn't that make it easier for you to block it instead of constantly seeing hate blogs scattered all over the fandom? So yeah if you don't like it, you can just block it instead of being "negative" back to them.
I appreciate that you're looking out for other people in the fandom and I hope they feel the same. I'm sure most people would appreciate that too. But there's no need to be rude or mean to other people just because you want to make a point.
My point is that if something makes you feel uncomfortable or negatively affects your experience in the fandom, just block it and move on. If you keep spending your time focusing on things that bother you, they'll just keep bothering you, and you'll never really be able to enjoy anything.
Thank you for being upfront about your thoughts with me though. I suppose there are people who feel the same way you do, but I just don't think it's necessary to argue with anyone if you just want to enjoy being in the fandom. They can't really stop you from enjoying it anyway.

One thing I really like about Ren's character is that he never uses his looks to his advantage or tries to exploit them. I've met people who are conventionally attractive and act like their face card can get them out of anything, then get upset when it doesn't work ✋
Ren clearly has that advantage, but so far, he has never used it for personal gain. If anything, he's the complete opposite. He talks a lot about respecting personal space, knowing boundaries.
ME THINKKKK!!!
I feel like this comes from the fact that he used to work at a beach stall. He probably met all kinds of people, including creepy ones who didn't respect boundaries. As someone who stands out, he was likely a target of that behavior himself.
That could explain why he doesn't care much about being "attractive" or see it as something positive. No matter how you look, creepy people can still make you feel uncomfortable, and he clearly hates that. That's why I don't think he'd ever use his face to take advantage of anyone. If anything, he'd rather avoid unnecessary interactions with people altogether.
(or that he does but I'm missing that information here?)
Does Ren even know he's attractive? He seems like the type to think he's just average. But he absolutely 100% dealt with creepy people on the beach I fon't doubt that for a second. People not respecting his boundaries, or even just constantly seeing guys hitting on girls and being unable to take a hint. I could also see a mean girl type trying to get something free out of him using her looks, and then when he does the thing where he acts like himself and is like, "um miss I said your total was ××× things cost money you know. Im not just standing here taking your order cause its fun??? The cash register isn't just for decoration??"
And thats why he's so insanely shy and awkward when he actually becomes flustered by how cute the MC looks sometimes. Like it is rare but I think like once or twice he has been caught off guard by how pretty she is. Mostly when he gets shy and flustered its because of something she says, not usually how she looks. (If I am remembering Ren/MC moments correctly lol I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes)
Which is such a cute detail because at a certain point even he can admit she's cute and he is affected by it
I honestly think it's because Ren doesn't like dealing with the attention that comes with being attractive, so his subconscious has basically gaslit him into believing he isn't that good-looking.
I also doubt that growing up helping his dad at work meant he never received compliments. I can imagine older people saying things like "Oh, this is your son? Wow, he's so tall and handsome! Great genes! Haha!" while Ren just stood quietly in the background, awkwardly accepting the compliments. He probably never knew how to respond to them, so he just brushed them off.
As for Ren/MC's dynamic, I think it's simply because he sees her as someone he can genuinely like and relax around. After all, MC is probably the only "normal" person on campus, considering she's... well not even supposed to be there in the first place 😭
Because Ren feels closer to her than he does to everyone else, I think it's natural that he'd develop some level of affection for her and become shy around her. It doesn't even have to mean he's deeply in love right away. She just makes him feel comfortable in a way that other people don't.
Has he had relationship experience before? I'd like to think he probably has. Maybe he dated someone back in high school, but it was just a typical teenage relationship. Nothing serious or meaningful enough to leave a lasting impact on him. It wasn't the kind of relationship he'd still be thinking about years later.
I also don't think dating or interacting with girls was ever something Ren really prioritized. He's just socially awkward by nature. So when someone comes along who makes him feel comfortable enough that he actually wants to spend time with them and keep them around, he gets flustered because he's simply not used to feeling that way.
One thing I really like about Ren's character is that he never uses his looks to his advantage or tries to exploit them. I've met people who are conventionally attractive and act like their face card can get them out of anything, then get upset when it doesn't work ✋

Hot take, I know. Been making a lot of them lately, but I.....actually really enjoy tokyo debunker. Crazy. Writing is fine. Characters? Adore. All of them. All of their little quirks are fun to me.... which is crazy, I know. Weird. Super strange when you like the stuff you're actively consuming on purpose.
Another, super hot take.... don't like the way other people write your favorite characters...? Time to pick up a pen. Time to participate in the fandom. Make the art you wanna see. Write the vision you want us to read. Because all the art and fanfics and fan edits that you're consuming and then spitting out like sour candy....is something somebody else took the time to create, and likely at one point has thought hey! I want a vision to exist. I will make it exist. Even if you think its bad. Babygirl you'd hate to see the kinda edits I used to make. Had to be bad to be mediocre. Gotta be mediocre to get a little good. You cannot be afraid of making stuff if you're going to criticize other people's creations.
Yeah, and if I ever come across any fanwork I really don't like, which fortunately hasn't happened, I'd just block that content or the user so I never have to see it again.
And if you feel like certain characters or parts of the lore are being mischaracterized or misunderstood, then write your own story and make your own fanwork. Or if writing fanfic isn't really your thing, start with theories. Connect the dots, analyze the plot, or talk about information from the game. Bonus points if you include screenshots from the game to support your points.
You don't have to be an amazing fanfic writer to express how you feel about the story or the characters. You just have to put your own voice and feelings into what you create. It doesn't really matter what you make as long as you're not putting other people's work down.
It's just weird 👁️👄👁️ because fanwork is fanwork. It's always going to be OOC to some extent, no matter how good you think you are at capturing a character. That's literally the point of fanwork. At the end of the day, none of us are the writers, lore designers or developers of ZZZ, so none of us can say we understand the characters better than everyone else.
People join fandoms to have fun and create things, sometimes from the tiniest canon detail or even from something completely unrelated to the official story. That's just how fandom works, and that's what fanwork is for. It's there to feed your delulu joyuyu.
