issue: the kittens are still trying to learn words. gus knows his name and daisy knows hers, but they don’t seem to quite grasp that when I say “babies!” im referring to both of them.

hypothesis: “babies” is too similar to “daisy” and they’re getting confused

test: start saying “gamers” instead

Outcome: they’re understanding it and it’s hysterically funny

also yeah as more time passes i like all the flowers more and more. of course i liked them when i first played, it was just kind of the combined whiplash of the flowers Actually Getting To Be Characters Like We All Thought and Holy shit they’re humans theyre trying to be humans. that mustve been weird as fuck for kris. but it is pretty fascinating getting to see a little more human vs. monster dichotomy which has been mostlys not touched on in the story so far. i think of susie seeing the human-flowers, and then asking kris “is your type humans or monsters” and then looking at her like it was the stupidest question ever LOL.

as for flowery specifically, he’s not REALLY my type of character even though i thought he was hilarious from the beginning, but the very end of the game really sold me on him (unsurprisingly) and now i kind of want to draw him just a little. i know there’s debates around if/how/why flowery is trying to fill every relationship in asgore’s life Including that of a collegebestfriendlover (rudy) and child (asriel) and i think it’s really funny. it’s bro’s first day on earth we’ll give him a pass. its my jarona

I kept forgetting my nighttime antidepressant so I set an alarm where the sound was a recording of me saying "HEY. TAKE YOUR FUCKING PILL" because I thought it would be funny. It was funny about three times, and then it started making me mad and I'd dismiss it right away to make it stop. So I handed my phone to my partner, who made another recording sweetly saying "Okay Shira, it's time to take your medication" and now I don't get mad anymore and I take my pill. The "compassion over punishment" camp has gotta get something wrong one of these days
