In 1947, an British flight from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile reported their status over Morse code as "ETA SANTIAGO 17.45 HRS STENDEC". That last word is nonsense, so the tower asked for clarification. They repeated: STENDEC. STENDEC.
They were never heard from again. 11 people vanished, apparently along with their plane, and the only clue is that last word.
And no one knows what the fuck "STENDEC" means.
There is actually a pretty decent explanation for āSTENDECā
The simplest explanation put forward to date is that the spacing of the rapidly sent message was misheard or sloppily sent. In Morse code, determining accurate spacing between characters is vital to properly interpret the message; "STENDEC" uses exactly the same dot/dash sequence as "SCTI AR" (SCTI being theĀ ICAOĀ four-letter codeĀ forĀ Los Cerrillos AirportĀ in Santiago, AR being theĀ Morse abbreviationĀ for "over").Alternatively, the Morse spelling for "STENDEC" is one character off from instead spelling VALP, the call sign for the airport atĀ Valparaiso, 110 kilometers north of Santiago.
As for the crash itself, wreckage was actually found in the late ā90s. It was likely a textbook case of Controlled Flight into Terrain. āPlane hits mountain, everyone diesā was a common occurrence prior to the mid-1970s.

Unless OP is quoting something I'm not aware of, this has nothing to do with copyright. It's because most streaming sites use hardware acceleration to reduce resource use. You can generally get around this by disabling hardware acceleration in your browser settings if you really want to take a screenshot.

I'm trying to understand the household environment this person grew up in. Imagine if you had like a designated bathroom that was yours specifically, and that was the one you were supposed to use. Good luck if you're closer to a different bathroom.
On the other hand, my grandparents house has a seldom-used bathroom in the spare bedroom where my grandmother keeps her sewing supplies. It's a small room so the bathroom is a bit odd, but I suppose it would make sense if you actually used it as a bedroom. It's in the middle of nowhere and land is cheap so I guess architectural efficiency goes out the window. (Also that house has a real life Big Long Evil Closet like in that tumblr post)
Or this person was an only child, which would explain the lack of bathroom sharing, but that's kind of cheating isn't it.

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! Thatās a big deal! Iāve never thought about it before but now that I have, itās ridiculous to me that thatās not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why donāt we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
