Okay so since it's clear that a majority of people failed sex ed, cis women who have never had penetrative sex having it for the first time and bleeding is a millennia long myth. That is not normal and is most likely indicative of a vaginal/labial tear due to lack of proper lubrication, the vaginal muscles not being relaxed enough, the object or body part(s) being used for penetration being too abrasive, also not lubricated enough, not clean enough, moving too fast/hard or a combo of these. It's a long standing idea that the hymen is a membrane of skin every afab person is born with and when they have penetrative sex the hymen bursts and therefore bleeds. This is only partially true, as when the first menses occurs the hymen ruptures and so it is no longer a bubble of tissue but an arch over the vaginal canal. Also a myriad of things bust a hymen even before a period occurs. Stay safe and don't mess with these dumb mfers that don't know how bodies work.

was talking with k about this but i think whatever genuine love and warmth light feels toward misa comes from a sense of pity and protectiveness like we see in the yotsuba arc, where - notably - he's convinced she probably is the second kira! but he knows her parents were killed, etc, and he's never really harsh rejecting her, i think because he's acutely aware that she's been through so much and that's why she's latched onto him
i think that accounts for why he clings to her after L's death, too. she's this innocent thing who benefited from his actions and it reminds him why he's doing all of this - to create a better world for vulnerable people like sayu.
once soichiro is dead and sayu is disabled, though, he stops caring about innocence. he doesn't believe in it anymore. it's not something he was able to protect. consequently, he stops caring about misa too - emotionally, that was the one true thing she had to offer him. he starts becoming drawn to people like mikami and takada instead - people he perceives as being like him who he can build the new world for. because it's just for himself now. he failed to do it for the people he really wanted to do it for.
