Yes, there are. There are the FBA and the Modeling Club. Students also have the opportunity to start their own clubs, so if you don’t see something you’d like to pursue, keep that in mind!

I’m not entirely sure, but it looks like there is only one application deadline. You can get more information about deadlines by checking the program you’re interested in’s page at this link.

NYU has ensembles, jazz ensembles, and a concert band. There may be more, but that’s what I found through a quick search.

Colleges tend to focus more on your junior year and first/second marking periods of your senior year when you apply. They will eventually see your entire high school transcript, but those later years are usually the most important.

To my knowledge, there aren’t any requirements that need to be fulfilled prior to applying to NYU for the computer science major.

Pre med/prehealth is in CAS.

They’re looking for you to answer the question; that’s really it. That’s also why it’s so difficult. My advice is to be you. Make sure you answer every question that is posed on the application, but answer it in your way. You get a very limited amount of time to show them who you really are, so use it. For example, if you like to write narratives, write one. Make characters and use dialogue if you’re comfortable doing so. Maybe you write poetry, so write it all in iambic pentameter. If you just want to write a structured essay, write the hell out of that essay. Whatever you do, just make sure you put yourself into it and don’t try to be someone you’re not. When I was writing my essays, I tried to not use the first answer that came into my head because I figured that would be a common response and I wanted to get away from the common. If you’re having issues, make a list and just jot down all of the reasons why you want to be at NYU. Come back to that list and see if anything really jumps out at you as a way to put an essay together. It may not be a typical response, and that’s absolutely okay. People don’t always remember typical.

Instructions for international students

If you haven’t already, really look through the website. There is a lot of information on the faculty, courses, and Steinhardt in general. I would also contact Steinhardt for more information! If you’re looking to visit, I would definitely sign up for a campus visit and also contact the school and see if you could sit in on a class or at least visit with someone from the program. Whether that can happen usually depends on the school/programs, but it’s definitely worth it to ask! If you can, visit when school is in session so that you can get a feel for what the facilities and area will be like if you were to attend NYU. It’s a much different area when students are in school than when they’re not and it’s always good to see what a building is like when it’s full of students.

One definite thing you should do though, is double and triple check your writing. Make sure there are absolutely no spelling or grammatical mistakes. Those are huge mistakes that can really cost you on something as important as an application, so just really check over everything before you submit. Also keep track of the deadlines!
