hiya!! i’ve finally watched the last tadc episode so i’m ready to answer this question lolz
my thoughts on this was that it SUCKED. idc what everyone says y’all can fight me but this was genuinely the worse finale for ANYTHING i have ever seen in my entire LIFE. it was bad on every level, it’s like they took everything that was good about episodes 1 to 8 and decided we deserved none of it. i for real thought i was watching the wrong thing 20 minutes in-
i genuinely don’t have enough time to lose on this garbage to give it a detailed review right now so i’ll just translate to english the review i posted on letterboxd here and all the reasons why i hated this finale should appear to you clearly (also no hate to thirteen year olds, i’m making generalities here it’s nothing personal lmao) :
i gave it a 0,5 cause i couldn’t put a 0. the amazing digital get fucked, every tadc maxxer on the planet is gonna pretend this is some deep ending and that it’s the finale of the year when it’s not even enjoyable when you’re 13 and a fairy tale fan + those fuckers disrespect us so much they put a random funnybunny tiktok edit in the middle and videoshow montages to explain to us they simply don’t know how to stay consistent with their plot or wrap up their story decently??? also cain suddenly becoming their bff by the power of friendship when he tortured them for years and we’ve been told over and over again he’s fundamentally evil since the beginning?? the 20 minutes jax backstory cut with abstraction glitches which just serve to piss us off although we understood his mid ahhh backstory 45 minutes ago??? them being in peace with the fact that they are stuck in disneyland for eternity when it’s been 9 episodes they keep whining about it nonstop??? finale made to please 13 yo fans who drool over jax the bully by a studio who takes you for a simpleton and only thinks about fan service/merch maxing. gooseworx is not the scenarist they think they are, i read fanfictions which were better written than their webserie and i sincerely think that liking this finale if you’re not 12 yo is a lack of media literacy which probably means we all died in 2020 and the world is a simulation to test our patience
