Odd household tasks you may not think about regularly
Wash the inside of the windows even if they seem clean. I promise you, the dust on there could shock you.
Go through the kitchen cupboard, bathroom cupboard, and your make up and first aid stuff. See what you have and check what is out of date or has like 3 drops left but you forgot you kept it because you needed to see it to remember you needed a new one.
Check how many of the same items you accidentally bought. It happens.
Check whats in the freezer. Some foods get freezer burn after a while and are hard to revive.
Use sugarsoap wash on the walls and cupboards (vjboard and general one sharp thought ans it cracks plaster walls). Stuff can get on there you dont see.
Vacuum or wash the curtains. If you have pets a lint roller can help get the fluff off first.
Also, remove the rings if you can before washing for the safety of ur machine
Washing machines have self cleaning cycles and it may require a cleaner agent. Please do that every so often.
The washing machine that remains damp and closed can easily atart to grow new life, pay attention to smells
Similarly, kitchen and bathroom pipes - use a drain cleaner. Especially the bathroom, especially if you have thick or long hair that is sitting in the pipes
You can get little dissolvable tablets for the toilet cistern that helps clean on flushes. Toilets are also closed wet environmwnts with biomatter in there, if you are away it will try to get gross unless you scrubbed it deeply bwfore leaving.
More than a few people have pabicked over unusual growth on their ancient rent dunny, fear nit its an easy fix.
Please change ur dunny brush every so often unless you are sanitising it every so often. Some of them get to a point and cannot be saved, esp the like 2 dollar ones from a cheap store from the last tenant.
Cobweb brush, run it round the roof and doors. Spiders get in everywhere. If its a benign other spider eating species thats fine. But tidy up their mess.
Another reason to clean the wall is literally to handle insect poop. Moths inside and flies and spiders are a damn nuisance.
Unplug it and pull bits out, keep the door open, give it a chance to dry
Clean your oven. When its off.
The toasters need to be shaken over a bin every so often (or the crumb tray removed to shake out) to keep it clean. While turned off and unplugged. No bathtubs required.
While powered off, wipe the dust off your lamps and the bulbs (if bulbs are exposed).
Wipe inside the closets / wardrobes and storage areas. Fuck knows how but the dust gets in there tooo.
Lift furniture and vacuum under it at least once every so often. The dust under there is insane even if the rest of the place can be clean.
You may also find missing toys and items your beautiful cats have hidden under there
Mop tiled and laminate floors. It really does a clean you cant anticipate.
Wash the litter box. When i change the litter over (layer of crystal on bottom and paper on top, protects paws from sharp shards, and wicks moisture), the whole empty bix gets a wipe out with surface wipes. Rarely needs any deep clean due to litter type. Keeps it cleaner.
Animal blankets and beds will absolutely need a wash now and then. Usually once a year unless someone rolled in somethinh and got everywhere before you could stop it.
Worried about the washing machine with the beds or blankets? Either do it before a deep clean cycle OR you can do the napisan stomo in a large bucket or the bathtub. The initial swish and stomp and soak, and then a rinse out. Really need a warm day for thicker items, they will take some time to dry.
Scrub under the plug in the sink and bathroom, etc. They can end up nasty if they are always sitting face up, base wet and concurve.
You may need to wash your garbage bin, including the big one. Go by smell or noted spills. Its fermenting in the sun mate.
Check your pegs. Some of the plastic and wooden ones reach the end of their life rapidly if they are alwaus out in weather.
Mirrors can be cleaned with a glass cleaner and newspaper
Remember, if you can Smell.something, there are particles in the air. Make od that what you will.
