Noel: Three months ago I think we won at Anfield, we'd won somewhere and we'd gone 2 points behind, and they asked me to go to TalkSport. Pep: No, no, no, no, no. No, no, wait. I listened, Noel, nah, not like that that. You didn't say "you're not sure" you said "I'm sure we are not going to win." Unfortunately you were right but you were completely sure, you said. And I said "okay".

Noel: Well the next day, I get a phone call, which— I'm laying at home on the bed and the phone's going, even now that we're friends and we spent a lot of time together, when the phone goes I think "ah fuck..." So, I let it to go to answer machine, and then you kept ringing I was like "God".

And when I speak to you you were like "Oh, there you are! There you are, the big rockstar!" You were like "You don't believe?" And I was thinking "what the fuck?" And you were like "You don't believe?!" And you were like: "If you don't believe, then the next one don't believe, then the next don't believe and nobody believes!" And it was like being called to the headmaster's office. And it went on for a while, and the last question you said to me was: "I got one more question for you, do you fucking love me? And I said "Genuinely". "Do you believe?" And I was like "I fucking believe now, yes."

Noel: I was watching [the CL final] in America, in a bar and City—

Pep: With beers?

Noel: Huh?

Pep: With beers?

Noel: With beers, yeah, well— yeah, yeah, yeah. I actually had a show that night...

Pep: He's so serious in this interview, Noel. When I arrived ten years ago it was "señor, we're happy..." and now I won, I deserve that respect, maybe, maybe— but I prefer the other one, like I said, out in the States drinking the beers (laugh)

Bonehead I don't know where Noel went, I think he was being a professional. He must have got his head down, he must have gone to bed or something.

Noel Everybody gets nicked except me. I don't know why I never got nicked. I somehow managed to wangle my way out of it.

Liam Our kid's been reading fucking Shakespeare again, he gets away with it. We get to Amsterdam, straight off the boat and we're nicked. We're sent down to the bottom of the boat in this fucking cell and we had to stay there, little mattress each. We'd been drinking all day so we were pissing in this bucket and it was going everywhere, it was horrible.

Bonehead Marcus was pissed off. McGee, being McGee, thought it was great. He saw that he could say, "You know what, this is publicity, this is rock and roll." He was buzzing off it.

Noel This is another reason why I love McGee: I called him and got put through to his office and he said, "Noel, man, how's it going?"

I said, "Are you sitting down? I've got some news."

He went, "What is it?"

I said, "Everybody's been arrested on the fucking boat on the way out last night."
