We don’t talk enough about how Guts’ two greatest loves were androgynes - he has a type.

to me, gutsca only really becomes interesting when griffith is factored in. i'm not a fan of portrayals where theyve clearly sanded off parts of guts and casca to make them seem like the ultimate bamf power couple, because that's simply not true to text. obligatory mention of miura's misogyny showing the text etc etc but what brings guts and casca together IS griffith, of course in the literal sense that hes their boss but also because of their attachment to him. they find each other after being (seemingly) rejected by griffith. they're each other's rebound, each other's rock to cling onto a past where the hawks didnt go to all hell after guts left. this is more obvious in guts' pov especially in later parts of the manga but i think it would also be interesting to explore that from casca's side.

Saw someone complaining about having "too much Casca fanart with her in dress and flowers" and someone saying some shit about "tradwife" can yall stop being so fucking annoying and weird specially about a female character who had to be masculinized her entire life not bc she wanted to but bc she needed to be respected by society as a woman warrior????
