One of my favorite things to do with my notebooks and sketchbooks is to draw wood grain on the back. I gave my black drawing paper sketchbook a fittingly spooky back. Yellow for pollen and white for kinda a moldy look really helped make it believable. I actually drew on the duct tape to make it more scratched and outlined because it blended in too well with the acrylic marker under it. Here's another angle since the light really likes to reflect off it:
Fecto Elfilis from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I have no idea what I'm doing with oil pastels but let this be a lesson that you should never half-ass measuring just because you aren't sure of yourself in the medium because bits of this are definitely asymmetrical and it could have been avoided on my part. Oh well, I can do better next time; I'd like to try again because I love this character. Either way, they're up with Zero Two on my wall now. Maybe I'll just convert part of my wall to "kirby villains staring me ominously."
02 (Zero Two) from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Now it stares at me wherever I go. I'm glad to have finally done something with my black drawing paper. Made with white charcoal pencils and colored pencils. (Which is a pretty bad mix because once the colored pencils are down, the charcoal won't stick at all... So I'm glad I didn't screw it up.)
An absolute chonker "suspiciously spherical" scarab birthday gift I drew for @krazykatt111 for a previous birthday.
A blushy version because I thought it was cute.

Some turrets for my first (and released, ayyyy) game: BYTES: The Reverse Tower Defense. Almost all of these are based on PC ports and cables! All of these are always quite far from the camera so little model imperfections aren't a big deal. You'll also notice I snuck in power symbols whenever I could, as that's the antagonist's face. The Plus/X turret is based on headphone jacks:
I think these are my favorite turrets. ---------------------------- The repeater turret, based off display ports and PlayStation cords:
------------------------------ Sniper turret, based off of ethernet cables. Because it's fast! (..And long!) I used the raised nub as an attachment point for a (entirely cosmetic) scope.
^I also snuck in the power symbol. ------------------------------- The Slow Turret is based on a PS/2 Port. Honestly, I just googled around for ports known for being slow and thought this one looked like a turret already. Power symbol was snuck in, both in the general shape and the back.
------------------------------- The Line turret. Based on a serial port, entirely because I wanted something with a wide... "Nozzle"? Adapter? Either way, it shoots wide shots and I needed something wide. It was one of the early turrets, so it's not the best choice.
--------------------------------- Minelayer turret. Truthfully, it's more of a mortar visually but the name stuck. Places targets on the path and fires upward when you path over it. Based on those PC adapters that your fan components typically use.
-------------------------------- Aaaand the Burst Turret. It's one of the first turrets and not based on anything. But, it's clear top-down silhouette is a good thing due to how dangerous the turret is, so I kept it.
Complexus, char from @icysoulart's game, Bytes!
:) Thank you! I love this one!
Goofy ass pumpkaboo that was drawn because of a convo between me, @t0nixium and @icysoulart
I would like to add that this was brought up due to a "how would a pumpkaboo wear a suit" remark in the convo and I edited this really fast as an example of what I mean but I forgot to remove the hands and legs so it's just:
Business ghost. Realizing it was cursed as hell I at least fixed it:

This was the last thing I ended up posting on my 3DS back in 2017, marking the end of that era. I technically drew a bit more on it, and never actually stopped drawing as a whole, but it was the last thing I posted. Credit where it's due, the 3DS was ergonomic. But I definitely don't miss having 3 brushes, 5 layers, and an utterly terrible resolution. I'm very pleased with the background still, though maybe not the leaves. Anyway, this is Dee, a G.R.A.C.E agent. This was the first time I drew them, so some design changes could happen. Her horns are intended to be growing into Summer form in this.
Time to start trying to regularly draw and post again, and more stuff with Dee and GRACE is definitely where I want to start. That, and post through some game development stuff.
3DS Honchkrow / Murkrow art. I remember making this and thinking the moon was too small, so I made it bigger. Then I liked that, so I did it again.
As comically large as it ended up being, I don't hate it. I think maybe the solution should have been to add some dark clouds to fill in the open sky a bit, but hey, can't deny it draws you in. (Probably from it's gravitational pull at this point.)
Still more old 3DS art, if the aspect ratio isn't a giveaway. You can export it bigger, but it looks terrible.
I remember really liking the lighting on this one... What I didn't like was when way later I realized there's a design error. One I actually remembered in the sketch, then somehow lost. Can you tell what it is?
"I never could have gotten this far without you." Old 3DS art on the PMD games, with the idea asking "During what part of the PMD games would the partner or player likely have not gotten any further without each other?" split 50/50 between the two. I was watching the playback of it again and I gotta say the earlier Pikachu sketches were far better than what it ended up being. I think I ended up changing it entirely because of positioning since there was no move tool to reposition.
This one is neat I still like it.

Old 3DS art. I wasn't going to upload this, as I'm really cherry picking what old art I upload, but this was actually significant. It marked the moment when I started to literally and metaphorically draw outside the lines. So, for that, sure.
Old PMD art from my 3DS of a smuggler's den. Another one I'd like to try again someday.
