#Okay bitch bitch bitchin’ time. Recently I’ve made myself scarce around my classmates house since his family….hates me. I just haven’t #Wanted to deal with any of this. My classmate however is an adult and doesn’t like they way his family treats me or the baseless assumption #They make about me (I have learned they think I’m frivolous for purchases my parents make. Or rather purchases they think my parents make)#(<-which is ironic because girls they are planning their secooond multi month multi country vacation. Make it make sense)#Anyway….they talked and his mom clarified that ‘she doesn’t mind me in the house and wants to generally speak with me more’. Yippee. She #Said she wanted to make a special meal and have me over for it. Well. She made the meal. Did not alert my boyfriend and then late the #Evening of asked what happened to me…. So. When he pointed out what she did she said okay invite her tomorrow for special dinner leftover.#I agreed to go despite the literal I’m-going-to-throw-up knots in my stomach. Girls. She fed me and my boyfriend at the kitchen counter #By ourselves. Everyone else just didn’t eat or cleared off. Fiber arts update! Spun up a sample of merino/silk mix to test out some colors

Peter Locke's spindles and silk mixes are a perfect match; silk mixes want to be spun fine, and this guy's signature drop spindles really want to spin fine and very fast. This one's a relatively new acquisition, a bottom-whorl, and I adore it. Plus, that darker wood stripe is SO helpful for seeing how fast the spindle is spinning!

As for the yarn: this is specifically a color test for a leaf-patterned shawl; figuring out if this stuff gets me a consistent-enough color to not lose the pattern definition. If this is the stuff I go with, I'd almost be tempted to make it a spindle project - but man, that'd take forever.

Either way, gonna bracelet-ply this stuff soon; any actual knitting yarn would likely have to be 3-ply, but I refuse to try and chain-ply lace-weight worsted singles, and splitting a sample in three felt silly.

It was funny walking into the movie theater and seeing every single screen dedicated to Backrooms and Obsession, save for one single screen showing Star Wars.

#Haha die bloated sanitized Disney property.#Watched backrooms. It was good. Not what I expected. Had to think of it. I have some quibbles that I think editing would have fixed.#But I had fun. The theater was absolutely packed. Been a while since that’s happened to me. Gonna see obsession next I think.
