every time someone tries to describe a 'second person' perspective video game they just describe third-person with the camera somewhere weird

Wouldn’t second person perspective imply that like…you don’t control your character? like how a book in the second person tells you the reader about what you are doing. Like…is a first-person pov movie a second-person video game?

The entire thing's a bit confusing, but if we take the connection, between the perspective convention in writing, where first-person means actions are described as 'I walk across the room and eat a lychee', and third-person means actions are described as 'Jenny apas-95 walks across the room and eats a lychee'; and the perspective convention in video games, where first-person means things are seen directly from the perspective of the character, and third-person means the character is seen doing things; as, essentially, how we would describe the game actions -- 'I'm shooting those aliens' in half-life, but 'commander shepherd is shooting those aliens' in mass effect -- then we can work backwards to the model of a game which, when asked by a bystander to describe the current gamestate, we would say 'you are shooting those aliens'. I cannot imagine what possible sort of game that would be.
