The way people treat trans guys under some pathetic “but men suck” defense is horrific tbqh. I’ve lost count of how many trans guys I know who either haven’t come out publicly or delayed coming out for years because they HATED themselves so much for wanting to be gross icky men. Most of them have been or are still actively suicidal. Every single one of them struggles to unpack and overcome the feeling that they’re “betraying” people by coming out as men.

It has also bled over to affect nonbinary people who present masculine at all, because y’all think they’re “too masculine” to be nonbinary, and treat them to exactly the same garbage.

But Notorious RBG would not have wanted us to lie down and accept defeat.

She’d have wanted us to fight like hell. And that’s what we’re going to do.

You’re able to call your teachers “Mr” or “Mrs” and their last name. You’d get in trouble if you addressed them by first name.

You’re able to call a celebrity by their chosen stage name.

You’re able to call your friends a shortened version of their name, their middle name instead of their first, or a completely random nickname.

You’re able to call a married woman by her husband’s last name, even though she was not born with that last name.

Keep those numbers in mind. 20-40 MILLION.

These people all have equal voting power to their colleagues from states with populations of 20+ million.

im sorry for talking so bluntly about this but its absolutely unacceptable to let people who think they’re inclusive and open to equate lesbianism to strictly liking vaginas, when there are tons of women, tons of other lesbians, who do not have one and are still women and still lesbians! and the people who have sex with them can still be lesbians too.

More often than not, the middle class is shitting on us as hard as they possibly can, because they’re terrified that if they don’t, they’ll end up just like us.

Being constantly treated like crap by the middle class, and then derisively told that we shouldn’t hate the middle class when the real problem is billionaires, is…frustrating. It’s really hard for me to look at the well-off doctors in the rich-people subdivision down the road, who treat the rest of us like garbage and call the cops on my neighborhood constantly, and not hate them.

And I just wish more people talked about the consistent day-to-day trauma of being harassed and mistreated by the people a step above you on the ladder, because they think if they kiss capitalism’s ass and help keep the dirty poors in line, they’ll be offered the chance to climb up another tax bracket.

Is it the most productive thing? Is it the most ideologically pure thing? Maybe not, but it helps a lot of people cope with the active trauma of being treated like an expendable piece of trash by people who may not technically be “rich” but still have enough money to have systemic power over them.
