can't stop thinking about the amount of discontinued paul/pat fics on ao3. an absolute tragedy

we all know how Lanyon reacts to watching Hyde's transformation into Jekyll - with varying levels of dismay and disgust and existential fear. I personally love the variety in Jekyll's reaction to the whole thing, myself. in the 1941 movie he sits back in his chair exhausted from the change and says, "I warned you. Even as Hyde, I warned you!". in the 1931 movie he just stands up and stares at Lanyon and gestures at himself dejectedly as if going "yeah. I know right". this is one of the few things that I believe both movies did really well and I like that it's different
