idk the exact reason but it can be because Akito tends to act nice to people when you first meet him

Or it’s because of his self esteem about himself, tho he tries to act confident but he doesn’t really feel that way, for example what happened with Arata and Akito during Aki1

yeah I get your points, there's definitely a wide range with the characters because the amount Akito hides is huge compared to say Ame, Mafuyu or Light.

For Mami, I always saw her breakdown to Madoka (in ep 2 or 3 i can't remember which one) was kinda her showing her true emotions, as she comes off as this wise mentor but is also just a kid struggling to survive, like every other magical girl. Yet depsite that she puts on a brave face and leads (especially in rebellion) and pretends that she's this confident senior magical girl who knows everything. I mean she is definetly an experienced magical girl but inside I doubt she is actually that carefree.

And with Akito it was both of the things you mentioned that got me to put him on here.

To be completely honest tho I do just project onto these characters a bunch, so ill admit my view of Akito is a lil ooc and I may just be interpreting Mami wrong lol
