Franny fell first, for a gorgeous black woman named Michaela, and we're going to see their whole love story unfold, and it's going to be different from the book, and it's going to be beautiful. Choke on it.

adding on that, I’ve seen so many people complain that “it doesn’t fit francesca, she was so in love with a man!” as if bi people don’t exist, as if it’s not set in a time period where sex isn’t even discussed, let alone lesbian sex.

and to me, it makes so much sense for it to be francesca, because for the longest time her only focus has been music, far away from her family. She’s only just getting out of that comfort zone, wouldn’t it make sense that she searched for a partner among the only options she’s presented with?
