Charlie was staring out into the street that was currently being splashed by rain. A soft pitter-patter filling his ears and the smell of petrichor surrounding him. Right now Charlie was being covered by the overhang attached to his school. He had been in a hurry this morning and didn’t think to check the weather, which was biting him in the ass now. No umbrella, stranded alone to walk in the rain. Or at least that's what he thought till he noticed two shadows approaching behind him. A soft voice then fills his ears, a voice that he's always happy to hear.

“Did you forget your umbrella, hun?” Charlie looked back at Luke—the sweet, light brown-haired boy who had partially taken his heart. Luke was currently looking at him with a soft smile and a soft kindness filling his amber eyes. Zander—the sassy, purple-haired boy who had taken the other part of Charlie's heart—was standing next to Luke, staring at Charlie with a teasing smile.

“Who’s surprised?" Zander says sarcastically, a smart but cute smile on his face. Luke just chuckled slightly as Charlie huffed.

“Leave me be, okay? I was rushed this morning.” He grumbles out, still playful.

“You’re always rushing,” Zander says, emphasizing the ‘always.’ "You really need to work on waking up on time.” Zander finishes casually as Luke unfurls and opens the black umbrella that he had kept under his arm. Luckily the umbrella Luke had brought was big enough to fit all three of them under it. Luke had always been good about planning ahead, especially when it came to his boyfriends.

“We should head to the bus stop before the rain gets harder. I doubt you two want to miss the bus.” Luke says holding up the umbrella as an invitation for the two of them to get under it.

“Wouldn’t want Zander's outfit and hair ruined.” Charlie teased, to which Zander just nodded, getting right under the umbrella.

“Now, hurry up.” Zander says and Charlie joins them. It was only then that they started the walk to the bus stop, chatting as they walked.

“Is there any way I can go to one of your houses? I don’t want to immediately go home.” Charlie didn’t really have a reason for why he didn’t want to go home; he mainly just wanted to see his boyfriends for longer. Zander seems to think for a second, animatedly putting his hand to his chin.

“I mean, we can go to mine but Hailey is sick.” Zander says, shrugging his shoulders.

“Eh, that's fine. If I get sick it'll just be an excuse to skip school.” Charlie says with a smile, clearly not bothered.

“You should really care more about your health.” Luke comments with an almost stern but desperate tone, despite knowing Charlie most likely won't listen.

“You’ll come too, right Luke?” Charlie asks happily ignoring the comment just as suspected.

“I wouldn’t miss out on a chance to hang out with my two favorite people.” Luke responds, and Zander's cheeks heat up. Charlie had to resist the urge to tease Zander about it as they continued their walk. The bus stop soon came into view, and luckily they didn’t miss the bus. They climbed into it quickly. Luke closes their umbrella, making sure to shake off some of the rain first before bringing it into the bus. Charlie and Zander were already sitting in a seat by the time Luke fully got on, to which he promptly joined them. So began the trip to Zander's house.

Charlie had his head resting comfortably on Zander's shoulder, who was scrolling on his phone. Charlie was simply watching Zander scroll and gave a few comments here and there. Luke was the only one actually paying attention to their surroundings, and he made sure to pull the yellow cord once they got close to Zander's house.

“Oh, we're already here?” Charlie asked, looking out the window, which showed Zander's house. A house Charlie had been to many times at this point. The bus then screeched to a stop, and the three of them speedily stepped out. Charlie immediately starts running to the door, with Zander and Luke not far behind. Charlie swings the door open, and everybody swiftly gets inside to get away from the heavy rain. The door softly shuts just as Shannon, Zander's mum, walks into the room. Her purple hair matched her son's, making it easy to spot their relation.

“Oh, Luke, Charlie; it’s good to see you both,” she says with a kind smile. “I didn’t know you’d be visiting.”

“Yeah, we—or at least I—won't be super long, don’t worry!” Charlie says, reciprocating a soft smile. A smile that both Luke and Zander couldn’t help but stare at. Feeling the eyes on him, Charlie raises a brow.

“Stop watching me; it’s scary.” To Charlie's words, Luke just chuckles, and they all head to Zander's room.

Charlie bounces slightly as he flops onto Zander's bed. Zander simply rolls his eyes at his boyfriend's action, and the bed soon shifts as Zander and Luke climb onto it as well, the three huddled close together. Charlie then turns to Luke, leaning in to softly kiss him. It was gentle, as Luke often was. And once they had softly parted, Charlie turned to Zander, who was currently avoiding eye contact. Seeing this, Charlie moves to gently hold Zander's face, tilting it so he’d look at him. Charlie raised an eyebrow; it was clear Zander was a tiny bit jealous, and that was something he needed to fix asap.

“Can I kiss you?” Charlie asks, feeling bad about making Zander feel jealous even though jealousy wasn't unusual for the boy. Zander huffs softly but gives a very small nod. With that, Charlie leans in, their lips meeting in a sweet but almost fiery kiss. They kiss for a moment before gently pulling away. Charlie then leaned back, letting Luke and Zander have their moment as Luke gently took Zander's hands. Pulling him close as they gently kiss, Zander melts into it. His hand gripped Luke's scarf that still lay around his neck. Once they both pull apart, they lean back with Charlie. All lying together like that made them all quite tired. Maybe it was the rain against the window or the way their bodies cuddled together, creating heat despite the cold outside. But soon they were all drifting off, cuddled together as they slept soundly and happily.
