I hate this take that "Drew is a good friend, but a bad person and Jake is a good person, but a bad friend", because Drew is not a good friend!! He just isn't. He didn't listen when Jake told him to stop calling the club freaks. He deliberately was bothering and bullying the club, when Jake told him to leave them alone. I'm sorry, but i fell like liking your friend and caring for them is a bare minimum of any friendship. If Drew was a good friend, then he would just literally shut his mouth and ignore the club to keep peace and to respect Jake's want to be friends with the club.

At the same time i can't agree with Jake being a good person, if he decides to not tell his firend that his girlfriend is cheating on him, and insted is blackmaling the girlfriend. I think that Jake is trying to be a good person, but is not fully there yet.

Hot Take: The fandom infantilizes Drew WAY TOO MUCH. Yes he has his faults, issues, and had some right points in his fight with Jake but some of the fandom acts like he’s incapable of doing any wrong. Hes lowkey misogynistic, a manipulative, and A LITERAL BULLY. I’m not saying that making angst or sad stuff with Drew is bad or anything, no I love that stuff but making it seem like he’s completely in the right and is some angel is stupid. Of course he did have some good points in the fight with Jake but he wasn’t all in the right. I mean neither was Jake he wasn’t really fully right either. There’s nuance. You can make Drew angst without infantilizing him.
