 âSometimes the beauty of a crowd of people can become a nightmare for those who are terrified of crowds. Stories remain stories until you become a part of it. Who knows when youâll figure out if thatâs what you do want or not, right? They get to make that decision either way. â He turns a blank gaze to her, a strained smile appearing at the question. He gave her a stare before replying. âYes. Iâd rather it remain that way than out in the open.â
â âż His words, despite a total contradictory view from her own, were certainly convincing. Her brows furrowed, a sense of conflict filling her lungs as she was left without words. She didnât quite understand why the man would rather keep things to himself as she was one to wear her heart openly on her sleeve. Perhaps he was sad. Afraid? Alone--? âI donât think Iâve caught your name yet, have I?â She shifts her small frame to face him, an awkward hand held out for his to shake. âMy name is Stephanie, and yours..?â
jeongoks:
  "Are you really going to mention   this?âÂ
  â âż "Mention what? That I heard you   pass a little toot 5 seconds ago? Come   on, Kookie. Everyone farts. No need to   be ashamed. Although, if you really are   that embarrassed, I might as well use   this against you someday.â
hyunani:
   ă¤ââ Did you see? That guy over there was totally staring at you. He not only turned his head around once, but twice!âÂ
â âż Her gaze frantically scanned around the area, ignorance coating her innocent intentions as she failed to recognize her mateâs drift. âDo you think he needed something? Why didnât he approach us?â A look of concern was all she offered, now genuinely anxious of what words the man had swallowed.
@91zks:
He gave her a look before his gaze followed hers, searching for whatever or whoever she was speaking of. Nothing. There was nothing beautiful to him there and he was utterly confused. âWhat are you talking about? Itâs just a crowd of people.â He muttered, lips pursed.
â âż "Just a crowd of people, and yet, each being posses their very own story. I just think it's beautiful how you donât really know a person just by their physicality. And even if you do think you know everything about a close friend, they still have chapters that they've kept to themselves.â Her smiling eyes returned to his perplexed pair, studying the stranger before her as a warm grin crept up her lips. It was a bad habit of hers-- to start conversations to those she was not familiar with. âI mean, donât you have chapters that havenât been read by others?â

âAh-â Her joke suddenly went out and to him, it honestly wasnât even really that funny. Sure, it gave him a few tickles here and there but it wasnât something he would laugh a lot about. Putting a smile on his face, he reached over to her and patted her head gently. âAww well the joke was pretty cute. Donât worry.â A cute joke was definitely something that you donât hear everyday. Since when were jokes cute anyway?
â âż âYou know you want to laugh-- You know Iâm funny.â She pulled back, a huff threatening to emit from her lips as his hand came in contact with the top of her head. âIâm not a kid, yâknow.â She reached out to pinch his nose, reminding him whoâs older. âI havenât seen you in a while, the least you could do is laugh at my jokes, even if it is out of pity. Do you have anything better than my banana joke, huh?â
@kyungsoomd
âThey say my wavelength doesnât match up to othersââ He began, a solemn voice amidst the silence between them. Being stuck in an elevator sure did wonders for both of them. The complex boasted off its clear and quiet rooftop to its tenants but only a few could attest to the truth. Kyungsoo, being a frequent visitor there, knew the right way and the right buttons to press to get up to that floor. But maintenance repairs and a momentary power interruption led to this and that, and now two people were there, perhaps sweating a bit from the five minutes theyâve been forced to simmer and settle down with until someone responded to their emergency call downstairs.
âI mean, itâs not that I think highly of myself. I never do.â He clears it up, wanting to open up with the kind stranger who stepped up and bravely started the conversation with him. Though they initially panicked, they finally felt calm since the lights didnât go off like the ones in the thriller/suspense genre of movies which ends in death pretty much 100% of the time. âI just think itâs rare to have people understand me sometimes. Itâs like Iâm stuck in my own bubble, like a hamster who doesnât know what to do. Maybe I have a dysfunctional way of interacting with people? Or I just donât jive in with them.â
He slumps against the side, sitting with his legs stretched out while looking at the woman from the opposite side of the elevator car. She didnât look that young, nor did she look any older. There was no harm in sharing bits and pieces of him to someone who barely knew him. Maybe with that, he could patch up a truth about himself that he was struggling to realize. âIâm not going on the rooftop to jump, by the wayâ I heard they had nice hydrangeas on display and I needed some fresh air so I thought Iâd pay a visit.â
â âż Â âJust because others cannot grasp your way of interaction, doesnât mean youâre dysfunctional.â The silence descends once more. It is clear from his expression that the man before her genuinely thought lowly himself. It hadnât been long since the elevator came into a sudden halt. Her once dismayed heart had now been embraced with relief as another beingâs presence offered a sense of tranquil. His words generously coated with defeat, so strong she was able to feel it as it it were her own. His mind plagued with fears, and despite Stephanieâs growing concern, she didnât quite understand why he thought being different was such an awful thing. For the short amount of time sheâs lived in Seoul, many times the lines, âYouâre weird,â and âthatâs not normalâ had been directed to her. But she didnât feel discouraged. She never felt discouraged.
âWho are they to make you feel that way, right? Maybe you havenât found the right people to connect with yet. I mean, I donât think being different is a bad thing at all,â she said matter-of-factly. A stranger indeed, and yet she had already wanted to reach out to him. It may not be as serious as she had approached it, but thereâs also a chance where it could also be worse. She studied his face, his features expressionless. His eyes were soft and kind, but a tint of coldness had painted over them.
Confusion had always struck her when that word is used as an insult. Isnât every individual different? She thought. And what exactly was society comparing âdifferentâ to?  She debated on whether to press the alarm button or wait until the lift decides to pick up itself. She wasnât in a rush. Maybe she could accompany him for a breath of fresh air. Itâs been a while since she had a peace of her own. Choosing the latter, she sat in the opposite corer, legs tucked beneath her ruffled skirt before finally breaking the comfortable silence with an introduction. âMy name is Stephanie. And you are..?â
@pxkasher
   â âżÂ âWhat do you call shoes made out of bananas?â Her eyes intently held onto the confused male, waiting for some sort of response. Her small frame vibrated from mute giggles as the answer stood at the tip of her tongue. âSLIPPERS--!!!â She burst out an unattractive string of laughter before being discouraged by his humorless expression. âC-Come on.. I thought it was funny..â

@hwngtiffâ đ Sheâs one of my longtime friends AND bestfriends. When we first met, we clicked so well in so many ways. It was just like we were meant to know one another and meet. Sheâs funny and sweet and a big weirdo, honestly. She would do small things like leave me small ghei notes and come to bother meâ It was actually one of my fave things to look forward to everyday. That was back when we werenât so busy and off doing our own things though. Although we went from talking every day and every moment, the friendship we have will never change. She will always be someone important to me. I think we have that kind of friendship that easily settles back in once weâre together again. This cute weirdo with the pretty eye smile is definitely one of my favorite people and I hope she knows that.
DEAR DYING HIPPOPOTAMUS,

Dear dying hippopotamus,Â
HEY YOU. YEAH YOU. You with the pretty eye smile. Itâs funny. We donât talk as much as we used to but I still consider you one of my close friends. We were pretty inseparable at one time, werenât we? Making each other laugh and just being dumb and ghei. Not to mention how we would sit and listen to the most ridiculous things the other had to say or lend an ear when the other was sad. Not gonna lie but I miss our phone calls. Remember those? And youâd fall asleep on me and Iâd just kinda sit there and wait until I was fully sure you were asleep. Pfft. Now that I think about it, thatâs hella ghei. You know, despite how things are, It wouldnât change things between us. At least for me. We can easily jump right back in as if we hadnât gone weeks not talking and all of that. Iâll always welcome you with open arms. Youâre also one of the people I consider a best friend. Ah, too bad I couldnât send you those V-Day chocolates or that stuffed bear that one time. That aside, just know I will always be your morkberry. lol And you, my strawberry midget. As long as youâre happy, then Iâll be happy because your happiness is important to me. Everyoneâs happiness really. I love you, ice cream pabo.Â

runaway love. ( au )
oshne:
Pulling out his car in front of the mentioned wedding hall, he fixed his bow slightly, to make himself at least look decent even though he was here merely for the catering service his family provides and the groom invited him. He didnât want to be here either if he could choose, after all he certainly didnât have a great past with the groom. Xi Luhan is just another spoiled brat, what makes him more annoying than he sounds is that heâs so spoiled that he began to disrespect others and once he got himself into trouble, he would call his men to help him and thatâs the one thing that he laughed about because surely, this guy is just merely a weak man with men as his bodyguards. He stepped out from his car, signalling his workers to bring out the foods and to arrange them before he went into the ¡hall, observing the almost empty place quietly as he wait for his workers to arrange the foods - he wandered around the hall, giving light smiles once in awhile as he bumps into several workers here and there.¡
Before he knew it, he had reached the backstage area where there were many rooms down the hall but only one door closed. Turning on his heels, he surely didnât want to seek for any trouble for being here, but the sniffling sound from the closed door stopped him. His curiosity was piqued and for a moment, his mind debated whether he should knock on the door or just leave as he was sure itâs none of his business but his curiosity got the best of him - and next thing he knew, he was already pushing the door open before his mind finishes debating. There sat a young and beautiful-looking woman, whom he assume to be his bride since she was wearing a lace wedding dress that hugged her curves perfectly with her makeup all done ( although her mascara were slightly smudged ) and bouquet of flowers on her hands.¡âW-who are you?â she stuttered, speaking in broken Chinese - her brown orbs staring at him in fear. She totally looked like a lost puppy for the moment. âSo Iâm assuming youâre the bride,â instead of answering, he closed the door behind him quietly before walking over to sit beside the woman.¡âDonât worry, Iâm not one of your husband-to-beâs men.â he assured, but the woman seemed not to understand what he was saying. She probably didnât even understand Chinese, he clicked on his tongue before deciding to re-explain with gestures.¡
âIâm sorry, I canât understand your language well - Iâm Koreanâ she speaks slowly, again in broken Chinese, but he managed to catch a few words, and the fact that she was a Korean. âItâs okay, so why were you crying before? wanna talk about it?â he spoke, again with his body language still, he was sure that he looked like some fool at the moment, even the young woman seemed to be amused at his gesture as she cracked a light smile.¡
â âż âYou look beautiful, Stephanie.â Indeed, she did look beautiful. The way her long tresses tumbled over her shoulders, its soft curls creating a wave of its own golden sunrise against the barely lit room, the way her lips softened into blossomed rubies as the lavished lipstick grazed her nude lips, the way her cobalt-black lashes curved upwards, tickling her lilac eyelids upon every blink of her eyes, and the way her long-awaited dress immaculately embraced her petite frame, holding her structures within every sharp and soft curves. Every physical aspect on the young woman deemed beauty and perfection and yet, she, herself did not feel beautiful. For months now, a stone had been nesting upon her heart. Today was the day where her, supposedly, âbest day of a womanâs lifeâ ends up coinciding with her worst. It was a matter of talent of the soul to discover the underlying joy among the ill-fated pain she had been unfortunately endowed with. Stephanie was one to be optimistic about nearly anything appointed to her. However, the mere thought of spending the rest of her life with her, no other, childhood friend, only made her feel sick to her stomach. True love was a joint experience between two people. Both sides must feel butterflies within the mere presence of their beloved other. But that has never been the case with Stephanie. It never has, nor it ever will. Not with Xi Luhan.
She felt uncomfortable around the few ladies that had been tugging, plucking, altering, and playing around with her appearance for her wedding day. Her wedding day that she had absolutely no say in. She didnât want to disappoint her parents, but it was against all scientific reasoning for two people with different characters, different upbringings, and different likings to suddenly find themselves committed to living together, sleeping together, and sharing two destinies that perhaps were fated to go in opposite directions. He loved her. She saw it in his eyes. But what was most unsettling was the fact that she could not return his devoted gaze. She gave Luhanâs workers a few bows of feigned gratitude as they begin to exit the room, offering the bride a moment to collect herself. She glanced at her own reflection, capturing every moment as her tears began to greet her rosy cheeks. Finally giving in, she presses her hands into her palms, wiping away the hours of hard work that was placed upon her pale visage. She didnât want to get married. No. That wasn't not it. She didnât want to get married with him.It was to no oneâs surprise when her sniffles and whimpers had managed to lure someone inside the room. But even so, she jumps from her seat at the sight of an unfamiliar figure.
Hesitantly, but surely, she smiles. It was a genuine smile that crept along the soft curves of her lips. It had been too long since she last felt her twinkling eyes mimic her lips' small crescents and the fact that a stranger was the only one who was able to instill a sense of comfort upon her dismay, bared her desperation. She tried her best to comprehend his overly dramatic gestures as a series of laughter bubbled from her throat. Heâs cute. She shook away the brief thought as her hapless reality forced her to reach back out to her senses. She took his presence as fate, and she was in no way of letting him slip through her fingers. He can help her.¡âYou.. Hmm.. Err--You help me?â Her brows furrowed together as she gathered the few mandarin words she knew to form what she was able to work with. She points towards the slender finger that would soon have a diamond ring wrapped around it and she then shakes her head in disapproval. âI donât-- Hm. I donât like here. I donât love him. Please.. Help me.â¡
anxmone:
âWhoops?â that was the only thing he could, stunned after hearing the loud yelling and how people even stopped around and huddled up to where the loud noise came from. He kept looking at her while kneeling down, fetching up the items. Oh shit she looks mad he thought while he action was taking place- âDid I hurt you?â
â âż Truthfully, at that very moment, she almost broke into tears.Her eyes painted her fatigue as it subtly laced with her rare anger-- a side she was taught to never show. The books she spent hours on organizing alphabetically now laid scattered on the floor, all because of a man who could not control his inept feet. Nevertheless, a hushed sigh was all that spilled from her lips as she straightens her posture, washing away her grievance with her youthful features, hoping to instill a sense of warmth towards the tensed male.¡âNot at all! Iâm truly sorry for shouting at you like that.. I let my frustration get the best of me, but Iâm okay!â
mysxtry:
â & jh && ; For a moment he believed she was teasing him, not thinking it possible for her not to have even the smallest dirty thought about his words, but something else told him she really was an innocent girl. âSleeping, of course. What else?â He spoke as if what he said was obvious, raising his eyebrows and widening his eyes. âThey give me headachesâ
â âż âThat doesnât sound very exciting.â Her tone fades into a monotone as the smile that once plastered upon her lips soon pacified under a subtle, yet evident frown. Unbeknownst towards the older woman, she never understood why people napped solely to fulfill their satisfaction. âWhy sleep in the middle of the day? Isnât that just wasting precious hours?â
parkxyeol:
When ever Stephanie would offer help or give her opinion on anything that the taller male would be doing, he would ignore it. Only because he couldnât swallow his pride and accepting that he may be doing something wrong since Stephanie is always right. It was in Chanyeolâs personality to think he is always right which clashes horribly with almsot everyone he meets in his life. It was a miracle that Stephanie has enough patience to stay with such a stubborn ass, a nickname frequently used by his other friends. And Chanyeol is grateful to have such a friend like Steph but he still doesnât listen. Taking a quick glance at what the girl was talking about, he shook his head almost immediately as he picked up the wrong piece and a couple of screws. âNo wayâLook, this clearly goes here. Just look at the photo on the box, the piece goes here!â
â âż Her mother had always taught her to never look down upon another unless she was helping them up. It has been in her nature ever since to try and be as useful as she can around others. It was not solely for the sake of generosity, but helping others also provided her with a sense of satisfaction knowing she has done a good deed. Though in this case, it was stubbornness that guarded the bubble around her obstinate younger companion. It wasnât a common case where Stephanie would feel her patience wear thin, and yet with Chanyeolâs firm determination to prove her otherwise, she resorts to emit a sigh of defeat whilst her fingertips still clutch onto the desk manual. âChannie, that makes absolutely no sense! That doesnât even look like what itâs supposed to!â She raises her voice to respond to his own. âWhen will you learn noonaâs always right, mhm?â
aixleehyori:
âWhat do you mean Iâm going to be late? They told me itâs at 2:30, itâs 1:30 now! How can they just change the time like that!?â she huffed in her phone. Today was a busier day among others; Hyori had a business meeting and photo shoot to attend to all in the same day which made things difficult â and a bit stressful. It didnât help she woke up late this morning causing her to rush. Still a bit tired, she decided that perhaps getting some coffee would help things go a bit smoother. Coffee. Meeting. Right. All her ducks were in a row â or so it seemed until she got this call.Â
  Now that the meeting was moved up an hour early without her notice, she was becoming overwhelmed and even more stressed. Because of that, now her whole day was practically ruined. Abruptly hanging up, she grabbed her coffee quick, walking towards the door. Could this day get any worse? Just as she looked down to her phone again, getting ready to answer the next call, she collided with another person, not only spilling their coffee on her, but her own as well. It didnât help any that that was her outfit to go to the meeting in. It seems like it just did.
â âż Stephanie has always been a girl with childish notions. Whether it be about love or the complexity of nonchalant morbid doings. One of her many beliefs was that there were no such things as coincidences in life. She believed that everything and everyone that wandered in and out of oneâs life were there for some kind of purpose, even if they were only present solely for the intention of causing harm. It was a bleak Sunday evening as a string of grey clouds hovered against the sky when Stephanie found herself scampering aimlessly around the streets. It wasnât anything unusual for the woman, though, as she was still familiarizing herself with the given area. Besides, it had only been a month since she withdrew herself from her vigilant parentsâ embraces.
Her eyes ambled about as it carelessly drifted around elsewhere, coupling with her seemingly uncoordinated legs until her small frame clashes against another body. Her eyes widened as she was abruptly forced to reach for her senses. Oh my, what a pretty lady. I wonder what her mother looks like.. She thought, unaware of the womanâs clear frustration which had now formed into words. It was as if her voice tackled in one ear, and out the other. Drops of coffee began to trickle upon Stephâs feet and only then did she realize the situation the duo was placed in. "Oh. D-Did I really do this?â

Asher scratched his head and pursed his lips, thinking of what he can do in return. âWell I can do anything. You name it, I do it. After the massage.â He brought a finger up and wiggled it at her playfully.
â âż Her eyes widened for a moment, surprised that the younger, yet taller male took on her playful approach. âWill you promise me two buckets of ice cream?â Her nose crinkles in slight concern as she pushes his finger away. "I've never done such things before so don't expect a good session."
