His eyes roamed around the unfamiliar neighborhood as he kept walking on the calm, almost empty street - passing some small cafes and even clothing shops, he’d hoped to find at least a convenient store to find some aid for the female. “Do you by any chance know this area? I’ve been around for a year but never really explored the entire town—we need to find a convenient store to get some aid for your ankle, unless your home is somewhere nearby?” he turns his head slightly.

Stopping on his tracks, he turned on his heels slightly-- blowing out some smoke of cigarette out of his mouth, before he took the thin cylinder out of his mouth momentarily. “For the nth time, I don’t intend on looking for anyone.” He pauses- he truly doesn’t like it when people feel suspicious of him, especially for the things he’d never done. “plus the last time I checked my job has nothing to do with spying people, I don’t work for people either. So rest assured – if you are indeed running away from people, or currently being hunted by anyone; I wouldn’t be the one to hand you over, heck, I don’t even know who you exactly are.”

Sometimes you meet someone, and it’s so clear so immediately that the two of you, on some level, belong together. As lovers, or as friends, or as family, or as something entirely different. You just work, whether you’re in love or creating things together or foxhole buddies or partners in crime. It’s so clear, right off the bat, that this is what you’re supposed to be doing, that this is what you’re for. You meet these people throughout your life, out of nowhere, under the strangest of circumstances, and they help you make a life. I don’t know if that makes me believe in coincidence, or fate, or sheer blind luck, but. It definitely makes me believe in something.
