So of course Grace and Rocky discuss how their species reproduce, which eventually leads to Grace describing childbirth.
I could see even the simple fact of pregnancy being a wild concept for Rocky to take in. To have your body grow and carry something for several months, with no egg to lay! Grace explains the whole painful, messy process of actually delivering a baby, including some of the complications that can occur. It's simultaneously fascinating and horrifying, and Rocky is surprised by how relatively recent some of the medical developments have been. Historically speaking, it's been such a risky thing for humans to do.
With all the media available on the Hail Mary, I'm sure Grace would be able to show Rocky an example. Maybe just a scene from a film, or maybe footage of a real birth.
There's a long stretch of silence when they're finished watching, then Rocky just asks in low tones, "Grace started life like this, question?"
The first thing Grace does is assure Rocky that humans don't have any memory of being born, but then he gets sidetracked when he suddenly remembers another fact about himself.
"And, uh... oh... well actually, Rock, when I was born they had to do something called a C-section."
As he explains, he can tell the scale from Fascination to Horror is shifting heavily toward the latter lol.
