I just can’t. Just like you love being human and having a whole future ahead of you, I love bein a vampire and having eternity ahead of me. Eternity to spend with the one woman I love. I can’t imagine myself living a handful of years just to lose you eventually.

You don’t know who I am when I’m human. I hated who I was when I was human. I was weak, miserable, lost, until vampirism became my way out. I like who I am now, I like being a vampire. This is the Damon you fell in love with, the vampire version of me. Confident, strong, cocky Damon. I won’t be the same if I turn back into human.

I didn’t fall in love with a version of you, I fell in love with you. I don’t care how strong or cocky you are. I love the man that you are. I love the woman that you make me. I can’t imagine living for centuries and not getting bored of being alive. I want kids. I don’t want to have to hurt and kill people to survive.
