"If I was going to date a man, you'd be the last man I would date." "You'd be lucky to get me."
Saw this IG post the other day:
I do love that whatever feelings we have about the show itself, the music almost always get universal love from everybody. Heavy on the statement, “I feel like Nickelodeon just assembled these 4 boys, put them together, got to cooking and made the most magnificent meal of all time.” Everyone has at least one BTR song they've heard that is their favorite and any answers to that are valid.
Side note: I did some research the other day looking up producers and songwriters from the first BTR album, and they worked with some really notable ones: Emmanuel Kiriakou (who did Let It Go & Warrior by Demi Lovato, Classic by MKTO, Who Says by Selena Gomez and The Scene, Take You Dancing & It Girl by Jason Derulo, Ready or Not & Hurricane by Bridgit Mendler, Tonight, Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae, History by Olivia Holt amongst others), Matthew Gerrard (who's done most of the peak Disney Channel music from High School Musical, some Camp Rock, some Cheetah Girls, Hannah Montana, Hilary Duff, etc.), Kevin Rudolph (who's one of the producers on Round and Round by Selena Gomez, Say It Right by Nelly Furtado, Good Girls Go Bad by Cobra Starship, some Lil Wayne stuff) S*A*M and Sluggo (who's done Shake It by Metro Station, Check Yes Juliet & We'll Be A Dream w/ Demi Lovato by We The Kings, Rich Girls by The Virgins, etc)
After all these references I listed, it's no wonder why the music sounds as good as it was, and still is.
pov you are sent to hell
Jiavani looking STUNNING as always in this episode. I literally gasped when I saw him. I am feeling so much gender envy that I want to punch a wall /dram

I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF
This potato works. Every. Fucking. Time.
Then bring me luck
the day after I posted this last time I was notified that I was selected for a really cool mentorship gig and got an unrelated glowing review at work
Hey Potato, cure my -ing cold so I can have a good time while away.
Here's the potato. Make what use of it you will. :)
Rachel Talalay uploaded a video discussing how/why the 3D effects in Freddy's Dead look the way they do and I just... I got strangely emotional watching it?
If you know Elm Street you know Rachel, at least by name. She's one of the only people to appear in the credits throughout the series in different roles and seeing her name in film after film was always comforting, somehow. I didn't (and still mostly don't) know what her different titles entailed as they evolved through the series until finally being the director of the sixth entry, but seeing her name every time felt like someone was there who was connecting us to the source. Someone who cared.
Hearing her talk about this project is enthralling. Her knowledge and care are so apparent and I'm so glad she decided to commit them to film.
